Saw something on twitter today that there was rumor they'd be offering the bank to Donovan. Ill look for the tweet.

Brad Stevens would kill it in Westwood.
I hope he stays at Butler, though. I would love to see if he can start to get bigger name recruits in the new Big East. I think he can turn Butler into a Georgetown -- a small private school with a nationally prominent basketball tradition.

Sounds like 2 guys linked have been Mark Gottfried and Lorenzo Romar. Both LOL's considering how much talent both have had, and underachieved.

Brad Stevens possibly headed to Westwood?
Read that he might actually be interested.

Who knows?SethDavisHoops
Source w direct knowledge says "absolutely not true" UCLA is in negotiations w Brad Stevens. "Highly unlikely" Stevens will be UCLA's coach.

Then Indiana's next coach yells at Crean after a game, "You know what you did!"Azubuike24;1416309 wrote:Tom Crean to UCLA?

I agree with "why". UCLA is a shitty job. UCLA is a shitty program. They have a terrible fan base. People continually include them in the "blueblood" group because of their past, but lets not even pretend they are close to that group TODAY.
Hell, the likes of Louisville, Syracuse, Michigan State, etc...they have the success and fan support that UCLA has lacked for 2 decades.

Lew Alcindor wants the UCLA job. He's got zero coaching experience and despite being a legend, it would be a crazy thought, right?

It certainly would be a crazy story in Westwood though. UCLA needs something to get back into the headlines, could this be the extreme idea that might do it?

Any time you can hire a guy who just lost to a team that had never won an NCAA tournament game you have to do it.

I can't imagine anyone looking over Steve Alford's resume and concluding "this is the guy to get us winning championships again". His style of play isn't exactly going to put asses in the seats, either.

New Mexico should just hire Ben Howland. It would actually make some sense...

fire a guy that took you to three final fours for a guy that has had two different teams lose to 14 seeds...yep, sounds about right
