My friend said 5 current Buckeyes will make an NBA roster. I said 1 to possibly 2 will - what do you all think?

(1) Louisville vs (2) Duke
(2) Ohio State vs (9) Wichita State
(3) Florida vs (4) Michigan
(3) Marquette vs (4) Syracuse
Last time Ohio State and Florida met, it was in Atlanta, GA. Marquette won their only national title in Atlanta, GA. Duke has never made a Final Four in Atlanta, GA. Michigan's last Final Four, also included Duke.

Make a roster? Like get at minimum, a 10-day contract somewhere? If so, I'd say...rydawg5;1416908 wrote:My friend said 5 current Buckeyes will make an NBA roster. I said 1 to possibly 2 will - what do you all think?
1. Thomas
2. Craft
3. Williams

I'm at 4/8. As I said after last weekend, my homerism in the B1G was probably going to cost me. I had MSU, OSU, UM and Indiana in the Elite 8 and OSU, MSU and IU in the final 4 (with Florida being the 4th).Ironman92;1416906 wrote:Yeah.....but regardless, I have 5 of the 8 teams left. Sitting good.
I should have known better than to trust Crean. MSU was just a tough pick, the safe pick would have been Louisville, but I thought MSU had a shot to take that region.

Amir Williams???? LOL maybe in the WNBA
He thinks Shannon Scott is the next Rhondo, and Ross, Craft, Thomas, and Thompson will all make an NBA roster.
Yeah I guess being apart of the team qualifies.
I just can't see it. I know Thomas will but MAYBE Ross other than that I'd be against. (I hope they progress an do don't get me wrong)

Williams is a Sophomore and is 7-feet tall. Guys like that tend to get a look in the NBA. I can name bigs who were crappy in college who got looks in the NBA.
Shannon Scott isn't a PG and he's too small to be a SG. He isn't a great shooter. He's a dime-a-dozen in the college game. I'd venture than Lenzelle Smith has a way better chance at getting a shot in the NBA, but even that's a long shot.
Remember, we're just talking about ONE 10-day contract. A guy might play 3 or 4 years in the D-League and then get a 10-day deal from a 20-50 team in March because they need to fill a spot. If we're talking about players who will have any full-time contract or even a 1+ year long career, I'd say it's 2 or 3 guys.

Well, I have 2 of the 8 left in my bracket, but at least they are my title game. Duke vs. Florida.

LaQuinton Ross, Deshaun Thomas, and Sam Thompson will all play in the NBA. How much is debatable, but I think they are all locks. Amir Williams will have at least one stint because of his size alone. Aaron Craft is interesting to think about but I still say he doesn't make the NBA because his offensive game is way too limited. Shannon Scott needs to get a jump shot before you can even think about him in the NBA but he has the athleticism and quickness and is good at a fast paced game, so I think he has a slim shot depending on how much he improves offensively. Lenzelle doesn't have a chance IMO because he's too erratic.

If I was a Marquette fan, I'm pretty sure I would yell Cadougan street fighter style anytime he made a big play.

Out of all the games I have seen in this tournament....this is the worst. Boring, sloppy and just blah

Marquette had no business making it this far. One of the most predictable dud games of the tournament.

Butler-Syracuse would have been epic. It always is with the Bulldogs in March. America was robbed. More importantly, so was Davidson.Mulva;1417024 wrote:Marquette had no business making it this far. One of the most predictable dud games of the tournament.

I don't know much about the Shockers, but I didn't expect this from them.

6-23 from the field, not going to beat anyone with that
