I remember rooting for A.J. Granger and Michigan State since he was from an area high school. Ironically, I hate Aaron Craft for that very reason. (Granger and Craft both attended Liberty-Benton in nearby Findlay). Lol.

Louisville was my champ from the start, so no reason not to go with them Monday. Behanan could have a field day inside with GRIII.
Chane has developed a nice case of Big Baby Davis-itis. He dropped about 20-30 lbs since last spring, likely because the knock on him was his endurance and conditioning. While he's in better shape, I don't think he's as effective now. He was always a guy who despite his lack of physique, was more athletic and stronger than he was given credit for.

UConn in 2011.

Napier, Freshman
Oriakhi, Sophomore
Lamb, Freshman
Smith, Freshman
Daniels, Freshman
Coombs-McDaniel, Sophomore
Giffey, Freshman
Olander, Freshman
Beverly, Freshman

Sure, they had Mr. Everything, Kemba Walker (Junior), but the entire rest of the roster was Freshman and Sophomores, with 7 of the 9 being Freshman.

He's still effective enough to abuse Robinson. They don't really have to guard Dieng though, they just have to keep him off the glass. I don't think Robinson could do that either though, so I don't know what they will do.

Do 2010 Duke and 2009 UNC still not stand? Those were purely veteran teams that won national titles.

With regard to UConn, I simply remembered Walker more than the rest, but, without him, that team is lucky to be in the NIT, so the freshman were not nearly as important a factor as last year's Kentucky team.

It's a lot easier to say "GO B1G" with OSU still in it, but since they're not, I won't...'Ville by 6.

OSU fan... no rooting for conference. I would prefer Michigan not to win.

This isn't the SEC.

That being said, if Michigan wins, that's a great accomplishment for the school.

I was making fun of an OSU fan yesterday for this. OSU fans are always "root for conference!" when OSU is in it. But if they are not, then fuck it. Haha. So fuck the Buckeyes for eternity.

Several of my friends asked me if I was rooting for Michigan because of the B1G, and I told them hell no, I don't ever want to see Michigan win a national championship, haha. I rooted for the B1G the first weekend but that was it.

Ditto. However, if I'm being honest, I did hope they would win one time-the 2008 Capital One Bowl.

edit: and this was easy since we had already kicked their ass (again) six weeks earlier ;)

Well, this is an Ohio board lol.

And, generally speaking, most fans whose teams are no longer in the tournament have greatly lost interest by the time the Monday night final rolls around.

I still always watch, though -- the only year I did not was in 2004, the worst national title game in terms of excitement build-up in modern history. Hopefully it is a classic ending.

I'll probably watch it some. But the tournament goes the same for me every year.

I am 100% invested in watching every game I can (more than just the OSU games) UNTIL OSU is eliminated, then I pretty much lose all interest.

For me, it comes down to whether I care about any of the teams playing, this year, I disliked all the Final Four teams, so I wasn't really interested in talking about the tourney any more.

I lose a little interest in the tournament when OSU goes out, but as long as I still have a team or two in my bracket I still pay attention/watch.

I need Michigan to win for my bracket (not because I picked them, but because I didn't pick Louisville to win) and I probably should root for a B1G team to win it all, but I just can't do it. (I'm not rooting against them, but I just can't bring myself to root for them.) I also need Russ Smith to have a big game for the player pool here.

I have Michigan winning #humblebrag
3 other people who would all pass me have Louisville winning it all. I was really pulling for Wichita St so I didnt have to root for scUM, but what can I do.

Nice call. Of all the B1G teams I thought could make the final, Michigan was not one of them.
