I just finished the first episode. I thought it was alright but I'm not real sure I will keep watching. I gave it a shot because I heard how good the acting was but I can't see anything they are going to add in to the show that will keep people watching.

Edit: I just heard they already renewed it for a second season. The only thing I can think of is that there are a lot of people watching who don't know about Psycho so the story is new to them.

How many episodes are out? TWC On-demand list episodes in numerical order as 101, 102, and then 104. Is there a third one that's missing from there?

I started watching it today, it's pretty good. For being the new kid in school, he certainly has hit the jackpot.

Episode 4 was new this week. I'll watch it on Friday on my wife's iPad -- I love the free app to watch A&E shows.

Watched episode 4 last night, a bit earlier than anticipated. I enjoy the show. It's no award winner, but it's got good things going for it.

Haven't watched it, but what you said doesn't bode well. I have probably at least half a dozen such shows the past several years I'd throw into that - all canceled.

Maybe that's the new reality. Just seems really tough for original/different shows to get picked up. Basically unless you are a CSI/Law & Order or Reality Show, it's a longshot. Oddly enough the best original programming is coming from USA and FX these days (well, and HBO).

Bates has been picked up for a second season though, so if you are one of the people (like me, usually), who waits for that to happen before investing your time...you are safe.

Still no guarantee. Supposedly getting picked-up for the 3rd season is the big deal, because then they tend to pick-up the 4th because 80-88 shows is what they need for syndication.

I think a lot of these shows get killed because they'll start with 4-6 shows. Then maybe they order another 5-6, but there's a gap and it just destroys any momentum.

Thats is VERY true for comedies, because about 99.99999% of comedies make a shit ton in syndication. Stations actually bid against each other for them. But not so true for dramas. Stations wont typically bid on a show (and certainly wont pay a premium for it) where you have to watch every episode.

Unfortunately, that is probably true. I've liked several shows and they've been canceled too. But, I don't watch too much television. I never hardly watch any shows.

I still am upset that The Pretender was canceled years ago.

Yeah, I have stuck with it. I like the show, but it just hasn't had one of those "holy shit" type episodes yet.

Season finale next week.

Hasnt been too bad of a season.

Norman had some flashbacks while 'in the hole' and now remembers some of the things he did in the flashbacks. (and btw..the teacher looked pretty sexy)

I enjoy the show more now than I did. The cat that plays Norman is a good actor. He makes me uncomfortable almost every show. lol and I concur about the teacher. Damn.

I missed most of the middle of the season when I moved, so I just skipped the rest. Ill catch it when Netflix adds Season 2 as I enjoyed Season 1 a lot.

Either he is a good actor or just an oddball, either way he does a great job

I only caught the last 15 minutes last night so I was a bit lost.

Norman looking into the camera at the end was a bit, creepy I guess.

Good season, looking forward to season 3

Good finale. It tied up everything nicely.
