It's not like they made any revolutionary changes, so what did you expect.dlazz;1469141 wrote:Reviews looking mediocre so far. IGN gave it a 7.4/10.

I should've clarified: The reviews are not as good as they were in years past.friendfromlowry;1469685 wrote:It's not like they made any revolutionary changes, so what did you expect.

The demo is very nice. I think the actual product will be very good. The new engine makes the game a lot more realistic. Once rosters are finished it will be good as always.
Also, usually there's a 360 online dynasty. Will that be happening again this year?

This is the day everyone rushes out to buy it & then sits on it for a week while rosters come out.

I just start crushing 10 year olds online to pad my online record and get some practice for games vs imex until the rosters come out.RedRider1;1469786 wrote:This is the day everyone rushes out to buy it & then sits on it for a week while rosters come out.

Reviews were so so..
Said they implemented the engine from last year's Madden, but still had the same shitty graphics, glitches, etc.

Of course not. That's why I said 10 year olds. They give a good scout team look from him.

It seems like they reintroduce the same glitches each time they make a minor engine update.
I remember one from a few years back where the AI would snap the ball and then the QB would run backwards in the hand-off motion for 20 yards until someone got close enough to catch him and then he'd throw it away.
I ran into the same bug when last year's was released. They had at least 2 years to fix that one and they never did.

Because the game isn't fun without names below the players?
Rosters are nice, but it would be retarded to refuse to play it without them.

Many will play but most won't start a dynasty.

I just never understood the big deal. I mean yeah, one friend of mine will publish a roster file and I load it in eventually, but never has it dictated game usage.Tiger2003;1470209 wrote:Many will play but most won't start a dynasty.

I'll play, but I am not starting a dynasty without them. Rosters give the game a sense of realism and a nice added touch to get to know some of the guys before Fall gets here as well.ts1227;1470324 wrote:I just never understood the big deal. The only dynasties I play are online dynasties with these guys so waiting isn't a big deal.
Played 3.25 games online last night. First game was disconnected tied 0-0 in the 2nd quarter and I was charged with a loss. Then I won 3 straight. Played with A+M (Johnny Football will be a beast in this game), Oregon and Washington vs Oregon, Alabama and LSU. Got lucky to win the A+M game and dominated the other two.
As far as a review...at this point. The game is what it is. If you have liked the last several versions and love college football...you will enjoy the game. If you were expecting some type of mind blowing changes to all of a sudden make this the greatest game ever...you will be disappointed. I stepped right in and ran the same plays I ran last year and same defensive schemes and it all seemed to work. I will again be tough to beat.
Some things I noticed early on:
-On running plays, receivers can actually run off corners if you are playing man defense. They don't all of sudden grow eyes in the back of their heads and turn around and make the play.
-DBs seem to close on the ball better.
So those are positives. I haven't seen any new negatives to this years version yet. Running the no huddle still takes way to long when you change the play. So stupid how long it takes.

Weren't rosters broken last year anyway? I thought they removed the feature that had shared rosters.
