Am I missing something? I know Daft Punk is like a really good electro DJ team, but not really sure what the YouTube clip has anything to do with.

Hell yes, long overdue!!!!

FYI, the youtube clip is just a taste of their new material and just an announcement they are back. There are a lot of leaks floating around of new material. Real or fake? Who knows.

A while ago Ultra had "big announcement" coming....there were some rumors that it would be Daft Punk playing. I thought, "not a chance in hell." The announcement ended up being that Ultra is now 2 weekends.

I'm headed there for the first time next month...can't wait.

I'm guessing Daft Punk will surely tour in 2014 and beyond....hoping for a long one.

I'm sure you'll have to travel if so. They will probably hit all major US cities, maybe Detroit?

I'm seeing two of my all time favs at Ultra for the first time, Carl Cox and Eric Prydz.

Pretty cool, I wouldn't mind seeing them if they play their old shit too. I actually just figured this out last summer, but they made a movie out of their discovery album. I always wondered what the fuck was up with their cartoon music videos, and it started to make sense when i started to watch them in order.

If I have to travel to see them, I'll do it. I also expect them to do a cameo at Coachella during Phoenix's set.

Daft Punk means a lot to me, they are the reason I love Electronic music. They're a top 5 artist of all time, it's just a dream of mine to see them some day.

After the show last week lots of rumors flying about Daft Punk playing Ultra 2014. Even their FB hinted at it.

Ultra was amazing, but I wouldn't go back. The crowds were insane. I can't imagine what it would be like seeing Daft Punk there. I just hope they live stream it!

If they do play Ultra, every artist would probably want to be as close to the stage as they can to see them perform.

Ultra was a great experience, but it came down to just being too crowded. I'll definitely be going to Winter Music Conference again. The pool/beach parties and clubs are where its at. I crossed off so many DJs I wanted to see in just a few days...it was unreal. If you're into EDM I highly suggest checking it out. I'm kicking myself for not going years ago.

When SHM came on for their last show it was the biggest clusterfuck I'd ever seen..lol. I bounced to see Paul Van Dyk. It would be total chaos if DP played there.

I just saw the "schedule" for their upcoming tour. I'm still not buying it until a I see an official release.


Also, if you want to check a real quality festival...check out Electric Zoo in NYC. Awesome time.

haha yea the SHM crowd was unreal!!! ive been to EDC in LV and now Ultra...2 of the best ways ive ever spent 3 days but im only gonna be able to handle the mania so many more times lol

how was carl cox? been wantin to see him for a while now but didnt make it to either if his sets...

While we're on this topic, anyone know when they will release schedules for the EDC events? I'm looking to go to EDC Chicago, but would like to know who's playing on which days so I can plan accordingly.

Carl was the shit. I went to the Saturday set, 8pm, 2 hours in his arena. He killed it as usual.

I'd guess the set times for EDC Chicago will be announced a few weeks before, maybe a month. They just released the actual lineup for NYC and it's the week before Chicago, but no set times either.

It's crazy to see how the EDC brand has exploded. At first only in Vegas, now NYC, Chicago, Orlando, Puerto Rico.

EDC is expanding just as EDM in general is becoming more popular. Live DJ/producers are cheaper than bands and yet they can still sell over 100,000 tickets at 100-200 bucks a pop. I think it would be cool to go over to Belgium for Tomorrowland, definitely on my bucket list.
