Wimer failed skin, Valenti 0-2 in his spot. Marysville looked tough, as well as Sunkle & Yarger form PC. Lybarger had a tough 1st round loss to a tough opponent, comes back with a fall in the consis. Bet hes on fire tomorrow.

What are impressions on how the Central District is doing so far?

Nice to see first-round wins by Laney, Sunkle and Yarger, among others. The Mt. Vernon freshman continues to impress.

Good luck to all wrestlers.

DI
Wrestlers from the Hilliard Darby district compiled a 25 - 31 record in the first round and were 13 - 18 in conso's.
Found that on Yappi.

Nice to see Jalen Robinson - Mifflin, get a win.
Greg Brusco.
Patch Garren. Twelve second pin.
Brenden Fitzgerald won his consi match.
Lots of good stuff in and around the CD.

The rest of the numbers......credit goes to Coach H for compiling these.

# 1 Seeds:
51 - 5 record in the first round against the #4 seeds

The five #1 seeds that lost in the first round went 2 - 3 in the conso's first round.

All three #1 seeds eliminated came out of the Fairfield District

#2 Seeds:
34 - 22 record in the first round against the #3 seeds

The 22 who lost in the first round went 9 - 13 in conso's.

#3 Seeds:
Obviously went 22 - 34 in the first round against the #2 seeds

The 34 who lost in first round went 25 - 9 in conso first rounds!

#4 Seeds:
Obviously went 5 - 51 in the first round against #1 seeds
The #4 seeds went 19 - 31 in conso's.

Summary:
56 wrestlers in D1 have been eliminated. Three #1 seeds, thirteen #2 seeds, nine #3 seeds, and thirty-one#4 seeds.

District Breakdowns:

Wrestlers from the Mentor district had the best first round record, compiling a 34 - 22 record in the first round but only an 11 - 11 record in consos.

Wrestlers from the Cleveland State district compiled a 29 - 27 record in the first round but had the best conso's record at 18 - 9.

Wrestlers from the Hilliard Darby district compiled a 25 - 31 record in the first round and were 13 - 18 in conso's.

Wrestlers from Fairfield's district compiled a 24 - 32 record in the first round and went 13 - 19 in conso's.

Eliminated:
Of the 56 wrestlers eliminated, 9 are from Cleveland State district, 11 from Mentor, 18 from Hilliard Darby, and 19 from Fairfield.

All three #1 seeds that were eliminated are from Fairfield district

Of the thirteen #2 seeds eliminated, 3 are from Mentor, NONE from Cleveland State, 6 are from Hilliard Darby, and 4 are from Fairfield

Of the nine #3 seeds eliminated, 1 was from Mentor, 2 from Cleveland State, 3 from Hilliard Darby, and 3 from Fairfield.

The eliminated #4 seeds were pretty even as 6 came from Mentor, 7 from Cleveland State, 9 from Hilliard Darby, and 9 from Fairfield.

That means eight #4 seeds are still alive out of Mentor, seven out of CSU, and 5 each from Hilliard Darby and Fairfield.

Gusan...wow. Gets put on his back, but fights back. Then (according to Bucksman) called for illegal slam, but call is reversed and he wins by injury default as his opponent could not continue!!
