It depends on where you look, to your point. IMO young men put women like these on a pedestal because they are attractive and put together - never mind that it is their job to look good and they have legions of trainers/dietitians/make-up people/editors to ensure that they always look good. I'm convinced at least half of the women in my wife's sorority could be Erin Andrews if they had that type of support and was willing to work at it. Erin Andrews is very pretty, but she's not a classical beauty. You aren't going to confuse her with Monica Belluci.

I agree with you, and everything you've said makes perfect sense (though you sell EA more than a bit short when you say "half the sorority girls are better looking).

But dem's fighting words to podunk OC living in towns with 1 half-way decent looking chic.

Learned the lesson at age 19 when one of the ladies who had the same major as mine posed for Playboy in "Girls of the SEC." She was very nice and cute, if not a bit mousy looking. But no one would put her in the top half of girls on campus. Playboy photoshopped her pictures so much she wasn't even recognizable. The pics looked fantastic, but it was completely fake. At least she got some $$$ out of it, but she didn't look anything like that in real life.

I think Crystal Egger on TWC looks like EA.


Manhattan..my brother dated a girl from OSU who was in playboy for the girls of the midwest or big ten or whatever. She looked totally different as well.

Ahh, ok. Im not really saying she is a bitch. But she was a bitch in the time I spent with her. Maybe it was a bad day...

For the record, it was in the Media Room at Indiana. Pre-game for IU vs MSU a few years ago. Total bitch. I think in public she obviously is more fake than in reality.

Not the best pic of EA. Google Kappa Alpha Theta and Vanderbilt and you will find over half of the ladies more attractive than that pic of EA, and they didn't have the benefit of of 2 hours of make-up time. In fact, it doesn't appear they had much time to put on anything.

Seriously though, if you give me 30 minutes right now I could walk you around the right parts of the city and assuming you like Asian women (and I do) you would forget EA even exists.

I understand what you're saying but you're saying that Pistorius' gf is "absolutely beautiful" and EA is "meh"? I'm sure there's plenty of super hot sorority girls all over the place. I think at this point we're really just splitting hairs when it comes to attractiveness.

And fwiw I did go to the sorority at Vanderbilt's website and the hottest "notable" alumni from what I could tell is Courtney Reagan from CNBC



She's Hot. I'm sure the less notable alumni who's pics aren't on teh internetz are hot. But Erin Andrews is certainly in their league and undoubtedly a head turning hot woman to most red blooded males.

I didn't say "meh", what is this, the political boards and you're putting words in my mouth? You know what I'm saying...if EA wasn't a sports announcer late teen to mid 20 year boys/men woudn't go nuts over her because she is simply a very pretty woman. That's it. If she wasn't a sports announcer you wouldn't know she existed.

I don't even need 30 minutes. There is a lady that lives about 8 doors down from our place that was a model for many years...I'd put her age between 35 and 40, I could be wrong since us white people have trouble placing ages on Asian people but her husband is around my age so that's my basis for that thought. She walks around our pool or at the grocery store and every guy stops where they are, and most women. She doesn't know much about sports (although her English is very good - she apologizes for it but she shouldn't - her English is better than my Mandarin) but she is always dressed well and beautiful on a daily basis without posing for the red carpet. I would not put EA in that category, then again it depends if you like Asian women as the lady I'm talking about is Korean.
