I was just about to say that an unscrupulous artist could easily fake a portfolio. Buyer beware.GoChiefs;1395055 wrote:A friend of mine looked at someones book, did great work. Went with him to get the ink, turned out ****ty. Turns out, it wasn't his work in the book.

That is true. That's why you still do your homework. With mine, I've had at least two endorsements for both artists I've used.gut;1395107 wrote:I was just about to say that an unscrupulous artist could easily fake a portfolio. Buyer beware.
I had an acquaintance recently who chose the artist based on price alone. Someone said they would do her tattoo for $20.
Ended up looking like shite and has what looks like a rash forming around it. LOL!

Portfolio. Fuck that. I go to a guy that went to high school work my sister. I take zero chances when it comes to permanent.

Absolutely. But in my case I'd have to do some serious research to find people to recommend a tattoo artist for me. You still have sort of the same problem as far as finding qualified and experienced people to recommend someone.O-Trap;1395112 wrote:That is true. That's why you still do your homework. I'm pretty sure Scott at Empire was the guy that gave my wife her first (and only) tattoo a month or so ago.

I have my contacts, so that's usually not an issue.gut;1395123 wrote:Absolutely. But in my case I'd have to do some serious research to find people to recommend a tattoo artist for me. You still have sort of the same problem as far as finding qualified and experienced people to recommend someone.

I saw this pop up the other day and was impressed by the fix. I've been itching to get another one but I can't decide on what.

I still know what I want, idea wise. Just need the right design. And I'm just waiting for a little bit. Don't have the expendable income for it right now.justincredible;1396272 wrote:I saw this pop up the other day and was impressed by the fix. I don't know how edgy tattoos really are anymore. I just like them.
