I was just about to say that an unscrupulous artist could easily fake a portfolio. Buyer beware.

That is true. That's why you still do your homework. With mine, I've had at least two endorsements for both artists I've used.

I had an acquaintance recently who chose the artist based on price alone. Someone said they would do her tattoo for $20.

Ended up looking like shite and has what looks like a rash forming around it. LOL!

Portfolio. Fuck that. I go to a guy that went to high school work my sister. I take zero chances when it comes to permanent.

Absolutely. But in my case I'd have to do some serious research to find people to recommend a tattoo artist for me. You still have sort of the same problem as far as finding qualified and experienced people to recommend someone.

I'm pretty sure Scott at Empire was the guy that gave my wife her first (and only) tattoo a month or so ago.

I have my contacts, so that's usually not an issue.

I saw this pop up the other day and was impressed by the fix. I've been itching to get another one but I can't decide on what.

Yeah, that's where I'm at too. My wife owes me like two tattoos...hard to decide on what to get.

I still know what I want, idea wise. Just need the right design. And I'm just waiting for a little bit. Don't have the expendable income for it right now.

I don't know how edgy tattoos really are anymore. I just like them.
