I've never run across that, but yeah, that'd do it.

Came up with more:

- People using "amount" when they mean "number"

- The overuse of the word "situation" in interviews.

- The overuse of the phrase "It is what it is." In fact, I generally dislike the statement altogether.

- The absence of proper capitalization found in social media.

- The use of "Carpe Diem" in anything.

- When people pronounce "actually" as "ACK-shully." Also when they overuse the word, generally.

It is pretty sad/annoying when a company, team, etc. has someone who can't spell or write running their social media accounts. My hair salon, which I LOVE, constantly uses the wrong your/you're, and it makes me not want to go there.

Jeans, a hoodie, and tennis shoes over here. I hate when mostly non-client-facing jobs have a dress code. I just don't see a need for it.

So, I guess that could be one.

- Jobs that don't face clients or the public, but still require some form of dress code.

I'm with ya. My first legit job out of college required me to wear a suit every day. During the interview, when the guy told me that I asked him how he liked my suit. He took a look and said looked just fine why? I then told him it was my only suit and he better get used to seeing it bc I'll be wearing it everyday until I can afford a 2nd a suit.

I sat in a cube all day, so stupid.

Yeah, one of my jobs didn't require a suit, but it required a dress shirt that was only either white or the classic blue, a tie, and dress slacks. The color restriction of the shirt was super annoying, and I think I saw clients maybe five times during the 18 months I was there. Dumb.

Young urbanites who start every sentence with "so,..."; which is up there with "like", used anywhere and everywhere.

Football announcers bothersome overuse of the term "the edge"; damn I am sick of that one.

Agreed. It sounds like someone making their day-to-day life sound like a TV soap opera - and that we're all dying to find out what happens next - and they give it out in little dribbles to keep their audience wanting more.

"So, I went to wipe and there wasn't any toilet paper."

Oh my God, Ken was stuck helpless in a stall. I can't wait to hear if he used his sock.

Carpe Diem was cool back when Dead Poet's Society came out, then it just got annoying.

I am with you on the "it is what it is".

I can't stand even bad grammar/spelling while texting, let alone social media. It makes my eyes want to bleed.

How about people who bring beverages/food to a party and then take it back home with them? Or even worse, they come back the next day asking to take their beverages/food home.

My wife and I no longer invite a couple to our gatherings who we have known for many years because of this same shit. They literally our that couple that ALWAYS bring tortilla chips or ruffles and some shitty homemade dip that nobody eats....and then drink everyone else's beverages.

Or the fucking guy who brings some hodgepodge of about 5-6 mismatched bag of beers to a BYOB party, no cooler, no ice, and then drinks about 12-15 beers. Cheap ass mofo!
