Trained in house. I get sent away to classes for Fanic and Kuka Robotics on occasion.

Nice. I have to go to classes sometimes in Canton (Rexel) for Allen Bradley things. I am still wet behind the ears on PLC stuff.

It's pretty easy. I'd imagine you'd have to run into it fairly often with your m codes on your robots calling up routines?

Yeah, the kuka robots is very easy to read because they are windows xp based and use notepad ++. My problem with PLC programming is that I don't get all the "catches" in yet, so when operators have a problem, it is usually my logic. I get it fixed, but I would like to see the big picture ahead of time and be proactive.

I work with a guy that really knows his shit, so I think I will get there....hopefully

It just takes time.. you learn from mistakes same as anything.. but PLC programming that interfaces with robots are pretty much the easiest sets of logic you'll ever come across. I like those jobs.

very true. I made a mistake though the other day that caused a "parallel arm" on a KUKA to break. This arm was about 5 feet long, looked like a generic piece of plastic...but it was carbon fiber. $2700 mistake. I didn't figure on a sensor getting made because of human error...someone was where they shouldn't have been

I don't really have a job title. If I had to, I'd say logistics/transportation coordinator with a bit of office manager thrown in. I move freight and keep the office from going down in flames.

I control Kroger floor care in over 60 stores across 3 states and I bang chicks hotter than anything posted on the OC. Ever.

I've been doing plumbing for about 15 years, but also have worked a full time job at a couple of warehouses as a dockworker. After losing my last job due to cuts I decided to go back and get my state hvacr and electrical licenses. Although I might just skip the state electrical and just get the county licenses I usually work in. In a few months hope to find a maintenance job somewhere.

Usually work road construction in the summer. Unemployed now. Have a tax/business advisory internship for an international firm this summer. If I get a full-time offer I will start at the beginning of next year right. Graduate in December.

Data Analyst/Database Manager for a medium sized non profit. I do not like it and this is my last week. Hours were brutal, worked most weekends, and a 90 min commute. I went to them and told them they need to start paying me hourly or I leave everyday after 8 hours. However CA taxes OT at almost 50% so even then it's not worth it.

Moving on to a profit company next week where I'll be the inventory management analyst, can't come soon enough.

California is rough. When I did cost of living comparisons between Los Angeles and here, a $40K job here left me in better shape than an $80K job there if I went with averages.
