I have always said that what other thing out there is LEGAL if you give it away, but ILLEGAL if you sell it???Pick6;1391015 wrote:Prostituion being illegal. I mean who the hell does the government think they are to tell me if I am allowed to pay (or get paid) for sex or not?
As for using a parking lot..think ohio that is alot too. I got pulled over but not ticket for doing this. There is an old Bob Evans that is now empty that had a newspaper thing there. I would ususally pull up and get a paper at lunch. One day I went to do it and pulled up to it and saw it was empty so Ikept going and the cop pulled me over. Told him that I was getting a paper but it was empty. He walked over and check it out and when he say it was empty he let me go.

Yea. Isn't Champaign County like what etb mentioned? Pretty sure you can only get the "hard stuff" at Krogers in Urbana.ernest_t_bass;1392902 wrote:Liquor licenses are state issued. Some counties only have one agency that can legally sell full bottles of liquor.

This....and more than this, NOTHING used to be open on Sunday, because in the Christian tradition, Sunday was a day of rest. Quite frankly, it wasn't so bad. It was family time....something we don't get enough of anymore.Religious whack jobs established the country. Just think of the extra booze money you could have if you could go back to OSU and ask for a partial refund on that history thing.

Laws definitely vary. It could be because of the Sunday church crowd, but I always thought maybe the idea was to cut-off the drinking on a late late Saturday (i.e. bars close, go buy some booze to keep the party going). That they don't do the same thing on Saturday mornings is maybe why it's driven by the church-goers.Gblock;1392899 wrote:that is most likely a local law? you can most definitly buy beer and liquour at hillard rome kroger on sunday mornings
I've also seen laws where you can buy beer before noon on Sunday, but not liquor. Explain that one to me.

I know a couple people in Christiansburg that will hook you up with some hard stuff. You have to buy a gallon milk jug though.said_aouita;1393138 wrote:Yea. Isn't Champaign County like what etb mentioned? Pretty sure you can only get the "hard stuff" at Krogers in Urbana.

An it is wrong unless you give the Jews Balnaced time for Saturdays, and muslims 7 days a week.HitsRus;1393163 wrote:This....and more than this, NOTHING used to be open on Sunday, because in the Christian tradition, Sunday was a day of rest. It's super helpful for police officers checking on-coming vehicles. They're actually starting to equip cars with scanners that can rapidly run plates as the cop drives by you.OSH;1393307 wrote:How isn't it?
It's not really a "dumb law", but there's way dumber laws to gripe about than two license plates.
The Ohio Gaming Commission has really REALLY weird liquor laws. You can only buy one drink at a time.

I think it's dependent upon the municipality. For example, Kent has "no shortcutting" signs at quite a few intersections and I think they list the city code on the bottom

In KY it's no liquor sales on Sunday, and no beer sales in the Sunday AM. I didn't know it until I was out golfing last summer and couldn't get a beer.

Some counties are dry and you can't be alcohol anywhere, at any time.GOONx19;1393519 wrote:In KY it's no liquor sales on Sunday, and no beer sales in the Sunday AM. I didn't know it until I was out golfing last summer and couldn't get a beer.

^ Yeah, that's dumb, too. Even Lexington has the one I was talking about, though.

The government should not be able to tell me when I can or cannot be alcohol.dlazz;1393658 wrote:Some counties are dry and you can't be alcohol anywhere, at any time.
