When picking up a few things at Wally world I'll also usually grab a six of Burning River.

The check out lady informs me this morning they can't sell beer until 11:30am on Sundays. WTF. I'm assuming this law has to do with the wack job religious fans?
She said it was really a fun morning Super Bowl Sunday.

What else do you consider a dumb law?

I think it's crazy how Indiana doesn't allow Sunday alcohol sales...period. The whole state!

I'm no drinker, by any means, but that makes zero sense. Sort of like the 11:30am alcohol sales.

Yet, you can still get alcohol at bars, restaurants, sporting events, and concerts on Sunday.

It's a joke but that's what happens when the religious whack jobs invade the country. And just think of all the extra tax revenue we are foregoing so the whack jobs don't have to pay for their ignorance. America!

License your dog but not your cat.
Leash your dog but not your cat.
Confine your dog but not your cat.
Scoop your dog poop but not your cat's.
Cat owners rule our society.

I once half jokingly asked a county commissioner friend about this disparity. He informed me, in no uncertain terms, that they would never touch that issue!

Religious whack jobs established the country. Just think of the extra booze money you could have if you could go back to OSU and ask for a partial refund on that history thing.

I also found out the hard way that only liquor stores can sell cold beer in Indiana. BS.

Don't know if it's a rule in Ohio, but out here in AZ I guess you can't go through a parking lot to avoid a traffic signal. I do it all the time but the other day my buddy told me he got a ticket for doing it.

And unions established the current labor laws we currently enjoy, but I don't see you advocating for unions.

Same laws here I'm pretty sure. I know of a few parking lots with signs at the entrance saying "not to be used as a thru way" or something like that.

Pretty sure it's a law here as well, though how strictly enforced it is I'm not sure.

Gotcha. We were trying to figure out if there was any possible legitimate purpose the law served and we couldn't think of one

Maybe. I think mostly businesses don't want their lot or gas station to be a thoroughfare. Increases risks of accidents, too, if people are tearing thru a parking lot trying to beat traffic and a light.

I'd say it's only a stupid law in so far that it's ineffective because probably hardly anyone knows about it.

Pa you cannot buy beer either on sundays. Found out the hard way long ago. WVa I think is not until 1pm on sundays.
I think in MIchigan carryouts cannot sell beer...is that correct?
We had some MIchiganites with us going to a game years ago. We needed to pick up some beer and they were amazed we could go through a drive through and get beer.

Liquor licenses are state issued. Some counties only have one agency that can legally sell full bottles of liquor.
