I figured I'd get this started...

Anyone tuning into the Rising Stars game? This game is always worth watching...hoping to see Kyrie make defenders look silly.

I want to see what James White will do tomorrow in the dunk contest.

I remember him throwing down big while at UC. He's been around, but I guess he still got hops.

James White is probably the best dunker of all time.

Kyrie and Brandon Knight had a nice little back and forth battle for a few minutes, was fun to watch.

Kyrie put Knight on his ass twice then went through him for a bucket

Faried is a monster. was so glad we picked him up with one of the veryyy few 1st rd picks the nuggets have had in the past decade due to trades. still don't think they get out of the 2nd round though unfortunately

as far as NBA players is agree. there's some of those guys on YouTube who can literally do nothing but dunk that I think do some more impressive dunks tho.
white SHOULD walk away w the title easy tomorrow though

Except the dunk contest lately hasn't been about dunks; it's about using props and gags to win over the crowd, not dunks.

I don't think White will use props. He will just sky and do crazy shit from the foul line.

Agreed though, it's lame. Griffin jumping over the Kia was awful, a true "jump the shark moment."

Also, derp on calling him "Fareed."

I went to a summer bball camp at UC when I was in high school. The Bearcats put on an impromptu dunk contest and James White (obviously) stole the show. Scene.

Brandon Knight is still one of my all-time favorite UK players. Irving showed why he is king. In fact, Knight tends to play his absolute best against Cleveland and Kyrie. They are about even in their careers playing against each other, with maybe a slight statistical edge to BK. Unfortunately, Irving performs far better on a consistent basis. Hell of a player, better than I thought he would be.

Here's hoping Bledsoe or even a Kentucky native Farried can make noise in the dunk contest. I'm actually looking forward to this one a bit with the lineup. Even Jeremy Evans from Western Kentucky getting some ink.

I'm not really a fan of all-star weekend anyway. The dunk contest is a joke.

It's a cool concept, but most of what made it legendary when we were kids was the year to year showdowns between the same group of guys. I mean back in the day, you could always count on Dr. J, Larry Nance, Dominique, Drexler, Jordan, etc. People try to make it seem amazing, but even back then, it's not like they were creating new and improved dunks every year. Much of it was the same, some innovation, but the fanfare came because of the names.

Even in recent years (the last 8-10), there have been some insane dunks, stuff that wouldn't have been done 25 years ago. It just isn't the same though.

I see a mini-Thugger won MVP of the celebrity game. Fitting.
