Blade Runner = an awesome, iconic movie.
This is the karmic backlash for some amputee athlete having that ever-so-holy name attached to him.

This whole thing is just real fishy. Everyone knows whites don't get arrested for murder in South Africa.

South Africa does celebrate Valentines day according to the girl in my office from there. She said the wealthy celebrate pretty much the same holidays we do minus a few US specific holidays.

I concur. You should see their parade in Johannesburg on MLK Day.sportchampps;1389197 wrote:South Africa does celebrate Valentines day according to the girl in my office from there. She said the wealthy celebrate pretty much the same holidays we do minus a few US specific holidays.

No it's not. It's MLK Day worldwide. They have the largest parade there for it. More balloons than Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade here. They love the Spongebob balloon.

Well, until they get to the end of the route (a cemetery with unmarked graves) and all the MLK stuff disappears to be replaced by James Earl Ray Day stuff. And then the guns start blazing.TedSheckler;1389210 wrote:No it's not. It's MLK Day worldwide. They have the largest parade there for it. More balloons than Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade here. Turns out Blade Runner was a complete douche...thousands of tweets about how great God is and all kinds of "inspirational" BS sent to friends. And he was trying to start a foundation "like my idol Lance Armstrong did." Full On Doosh McGoosh.

Track athletes in general are a little goofy and dooshy. Every 4 yrs its great to watch them compete but really in non-olympic years could you give a rats ass about watching them? Even HS track...unless you are a parent or a fomer goofy ass doosh yourself , you most likely never attend a HS track meet. I'm sure Blade Runner was exactly like that and all of a sudden hot babes are all over him but he's never had that kind of attention and didn't know how to handle it.

@JimNorton: What a dope Oscar Pistorius is; he has no legs, but still managed to make $2 million a year and fuck a model. How do you screw that up?

Pistorius charged with premeditated murder.
My advice to people would be do not date machines. They will kill you.

Bumping this thread up.
Oscar Pistorius found not guilty in the murder of his girlfriend. Wow...really thought he was toast on this one.

Not guilty on the most serious charge. He still faces some years in prison.sherm03;1652897 wrote:Bumping this thread up.

Probably the right decision. I see it as a bad fight/argument that turned into a homicide and not necessarily pre meditated.TedSheckler;1652912 wrote:Not guilty on the most serious charge. He still faces some years in prison.
The rest of the verdict will decide if he got off due to his celebrity stature or not.

Not to say this means anything, but there's a girl here from South Africa who's doing some training and i talked to her about this case. The general consensus was they believed him since cime is so terrible there and break ins are so prevalent. She was scared to death when she first got here that there wasnt a gate around her apartment and bars over the window like they have back home.

That def has some merit but the reports of yelling from their place, and the fact that they were together leads me to believe he knew she was the one in there. If you are in the house with your girlfriend you dont go shooting into the bathroom all wily-nily. Now..if he was home alone that night, and she came by to surprise him and shit and tried to sneak into the place and in bed then you have something.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1652940 wrote:Not to say this means anything, but there's a girl here from South Africa who's doing some training and i talked to her about this case.
