No. You cant shoot with .3 left. It has to be a tip in with that amount or less. This is from last years points of emphasis and why the Shot Clock was changed for refs (like the Craft shot) to make it easy for them...
I cant find the .6 needed for a full shot, but if it ISNT that much time, its at least .4 and that is a reduction from years ago when I am 99% positive it was .6 (Jerry Stackhouse was the reason in a playoff game for Detroit I think).That change will be particularly useful when the shot clock is at one second or less. A player is not allowed to catch and shoot with .3 seconds or less left on the clock. Only a pass and tip-in is allowed with that little time left.
