It's different when it's your own kid. It's tough to explain, but stuff I thought would gross me out didn't bother me at all when it was my wife/kid. I suspect this is true for many guys.

It was the exact same for me. The whole pregnancy I told her that I refused to look.

The birth of my son was amazing. Nothing like i thought it would be good or bad. My wife had a c section. There was stuff coming out that thoroughly grossed me out. I would look up and see saws, and organs and intestines, etc. Then look down at my wife's face and she is just laying there smiling, oblivious to what's going on the other side of the curtain.

Same thing happened with my wife I guess. I was told that she was close to death from losing so much blood, and she was oblivious to all of it.

Ours was a planned c section, a little bit safer than an emergency one

Back in the old day father could not be in the deliver room. My first daughter was born in Toledo and they started the program Lamaze</SPAN></SPAN> method of childbirth, wife and I were in one of the earliest classes. </SPAN></SPAN>
1[SUP]st[/SUP] Born: I was there and watched the birth &#8230;. behind the doctor </SPAN></SPAN>
2[SUP]nd[/SUP] Child: Not only was I there but the doctor had me help and hold the baby as she was being delivered</SPAN></SPAN>
3nd Youngest: Because the doctor was the same as my second kid, he was very confident in my birthing delivery skills, other than doing some cutting, I was right there waiting for the catch. </SPAN></SPAN>

I have done and seem many things in my life but watching my kids delivery was amazing and unforgettable excitement.

Unforgettable I bet.
Did it take a while to have get an erection again?

That's what the doctors told us at least. I'm no medical expert though so maybe they lied

No &#8230; I requested to the doctor to add a extra stitch or two <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Something to look forward to later&#8230;

Doctors want you out of there as soon as possible, that's why they do it. There a lot of risks even when it's planned.

This, unfortunately. Studies show that lots of c-sections happen around doctor vacations, when shifts are about to end, etc. Not to say they're all bad or unnecessary, but they're certainly overused, and can introduce many dangerous complications for the mother.

I can tell you this much my son was born 10 pounds 14 ounces and he was a week and a half early. I'm guessing that they planned a c-section for her for her own safety
