both teams loaded with D-1 college talent too...but it's all about excellent coaching & execution, right?

St V's coach (Boarman) used to coach at Copley from 1990-2006. Orrville was 7-5 against him while at Copley...including a 41-19 win at Copley in 2006, Davault's first year.

But it's all about coaching right??...talent doesn't matter. LOL. Boarman may win his 2nd straight title at St V this year, but he's was average at best while at Copley. Amazing what you can do with a stable of OSU recruits.

I know at one time Davault had all that talent too and couldn't muster even a trip to the final-eat you're words Homer!! Seriously bro let it go your boy sucks as a head coach and even you know that! Say what you want so people don't look down on you but this guy isn't going to sniff a title in Orrville ever! You are full of shit half the time!!

So angry....

You refuse to consider the talent aspect...not in 2009...but now. This team is right where realists thought they'd be.

No sense even trying to have a conversation.

See you at the Beat Wooster pep rally. I'll buy you a beer. You can loosen up after a few bud lights & let Davault know what you think in person.

Orrville fans come out more in the playoffs. Not going to defend that. Always have.

But..comparing a crowd at Madison (45 minute drive, outdoors) for reg. season football & at Smithville (10 minute drive, indoors) for tourney volleyball is apples & oranges a little.

Proof of why we need to be in the WCAL. Better attendance..more $$ for the ath. Dept.

I totally agree RR1! We would benefit at all levels and in all sports if we could get in the WCAL. I am not saying that in terms of wins/losses but just simply giving our student athletes a chance to compete against schools with similar enrollment numbers!
Triway and Orrville into the WCAL and play big/ small divisions. Allows teams to play 3-4 non-conference games as well

All right. You guys go sit in the corner until you come back to your senses. Wayne County League?? Trade Ashland for Rittman?? Clear Fork for Smithville? Really? This year six wins could've well put Orrville into the playoffs. If you're playing a WCAL schedule you might get in with one loss, but that's pushing it. And I think the Wooster rivalry comes to an end. They can't be scheduling WCAL teams for non-conference games. The PAC makes sense, but not the WCAL. I agree the OCC is simply too much, but you can't go to the other extreme.

The Wooster game is really not that big of a rivalry-Sure we have played them more than 100 times but go to the game next weekend and give me a head count! I'm sure RR1 will have some excuse as to why people won't be there probably some sort of lack of talent on both sides or whatever else. I am sure he will be there though maybe with the Wooster dummy. Maybe there is even some sort of pics he can copy and paste onto his own site from Max preps oh I don't know like the helmets or something. Even when one or the other team was good nobody really cared to go the game other than the 100th meeting.

What are you even talking about? What am I copying from Max Preps? I'm so confused....

And you know better...Orr/Woo is always a big draw..no mater the kind of season either is having. Both sides will have their bleachers full...bad weather or not. Last year over there was freezing & windy but there were a lot of people there.

I will agree - the rivalry ain't what it once was. Know why? Most of these kids in this social media age know each other. Heck, half of them have played together in youth league baseball or basketball. It's more a rivalry for the adults than the kids. It's a bit artificial anymore. And in a game between Orrville and Ashland, I honestly think most Wooster kids would pull for Orrville. There's more respect than hate. Times change.

3rd down and 5 for Orrville-at our own 15. Clearfork has no timeouts and only 40 second left on game clock . Davault runs a designed run out of bounce, clock stops, we have to Punt and Clearfork scores. Worst football IQ out of a coach of all time! Ranks right up there with throwing the ball 2 yers ago against triway with 1:20 on clock with game in hand! Worst coach ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Nation,
Didn't get a chance to say hi...should have took a picture of the scoreboard so you knew I was there.....and what happened to Massillon/St V?

Not sure I saw that play as a "designed" run out of bounds..the QB ran out of bounds. Probably should have stayed in bounds or ran up the middle & let the clock run out. I'm sure we'll agree to disagree like always.

Was that your buddy troll king sitting beside you?

coach should have told him to run it in the middle-Yes that was Troll King. Wow good coaching performance tonite Dougie! Oh and Red rider dad confronting me was hilarious too- not sure he was ready for me to give it back to him. Like I have said before I don't hide behind a screen name. Have something to say? Come say it. I give him credit he told me how he felt but again I never backed off anything I have ever said-Don't like it? Don't read it!

Congratulations to Wooster's (formerly Orrville) Dyson for his 5 TD's tonite in a win over West Holmes! Some former Riders doing great things this year. Why did they leave Orrville again................ Give up???

also nice coaching job tonite #25 gets a personal foul call and Davault just claps at him and then the kid comes on the sidelines and throws his helmet-if that happened under Tipton Or Mac his nite would have been over and maybe the next game too-Coach has no grip on this team!!
