During my years at Maryland, my classmates and I would have a burgers and beer night every month and try different places in the DC area. There are a host of solid places.
It is the birthplace of Five Guys after all.

Yeah same here. Solid, not awesome. Fries and shakes were the best part.
DC may suck the life out of ya, but I'd say it has some of best places to eat and grab a drink in the country.

Also, I recently made some burgers from some food channel show featuring burger places. It was the beef with some salt, pepper, cayenne, onion powder, garlic powder and worcestershire sauce. Topped with apple wood bacon, lettuce, tomato and then the "sauce" is a crunchy peanut butter mixed with a little natural maple syrup. Thing was damn good.
