nothing says you have to answer, or even tell the truth. Telling the doctor none of his business will probably get you marked down as yes, just look him straight in the face and answer no.

Excuse me, but this has been nothing but a dog and pony show, with absolutely NOTHING new added, or subtracted from the original liberal talking points that were reiterated immediately after the Sandy Hook tragedy. Biden spent all week paying nothing but lip service to the NRA's ideas, and gladhanding his supporters in the entertainment industry. The focus and the framing of this charade from the beginning has been soley on 'guns'.....limiting types of guns, magazine capacity, and denying guns to the vague definition of mentally unstable people. Nowhere did any of our 'leaders' use their bully pulpit to excoriate the entertainment industry for the persistant glamorization of guns and violence. Nowhere was a mention of government policies that contribute to the breakup of the supportive family unit which is at least a part of the root mental health issues of mal-adjusted kids.
....but it's all about the guns....none of which was proposed today would have significantly changed anything in the massacres we have witnessed recently.

Am I the only one who thinks If there is some big govt conspiracy to disarm us and then create a police state or whatever ( which I don't necessarily discount) it doesnt matter whether Obama or Romney got elected?

If that's the plan, it's being conducted by the invisible government and the POTUS is just a pawn.

This. Liberal has its root in liberty. Most of the founders were liberals. This is why I applaud the modern day so called "liberals" fleeing the term for "progressives".

Ha, and that is the same reason why I don't really like the term progressive. I prefer "contemporary liberal" as opposed to "classical liberal" ;)

Most people could see this coming a mile away. The tragedy never would have happened if the teachers were armed, but they aren't allowed. Instead the answer is to disarm everyone except criminals and government agents. How does that make anyone safer?

Actually, you can see how safe it makes us. Where do these shootings take place? Gun shows? No, ok. Shooting ranges? No. Police stations? No. Oh, I know, they occur in places where guns are already banned, like schools and movie theatres. I guess the people in those places feel really safe that guns aren't allowed.

It doesn't matter what term you like. There is nothing liberal about you. Freedom is in the definition of liberalism. There is nothing free about government oversight of every aspect of our lives.
