I just heard Tim Kurkjian say on PTI that the Yankees haven't had a HR by a right handed bat in 25 games, and only 3 in the past 2 months.

How is that even possible? I knew things were bad with them, but God almighty is that a level of futility you would never expect from a team with NY's resources.

The Yankees basically have all lefties though. And they're pitching has been really good this year as well

Braves/Cards - Jay gets a hit out into left center and tries to take 2nd. Gattis gets the ball and throws it perfectly to 2nd right on line and knee high, and beats the runner. However the infielder catches it 5-6 feet before it gets to the bag then tries to take the ball to the bag, and too late, a double. The announcers bad mouth Gattis for lollygagging, but nary a word about the infielder not making the much quicker play of letting the ball come to the bag and getting the tag down.

Tanner Scheppers got the bejesus beat out of him in Cleveland. Apparently he got jumped by a group of "young males"

Today the Tigers game had some of the worst baseball I've ever seen. The Phillies in the Bottom of the 6th gave up 8 runs on just 2 hits with all of them unearned

Well the Tigers lineup is so damn sick that the Phils were just simply too intimidated in the field.
