Hats off to any wrestler who has both academic achievements and is willing to miss a night on the mat to keep them! Of course, I believe it is a positive academic commitment -- not a really long detention (or worse), which would have been my situation.

Notice the other forfeits are all in the top 3 weight classes where we keep being told we need even more weight classes.

I readja, Mr. Hines. I often think of myself as an outstanding student. You know, out standing in the hall. buh dum ching!

People used to ask me what I took in high school. I'd reply,"Anything that wasn't nailed down!" buh dum ching!

I think that's why people referred to me as an honor student. As in,"It wasn't me, your honor." buh dum ching!

I know you're out there... I can hear you breathing!!!

I'll be here all weekend, folks. Be sure to tip your servers. Take care of those who are taking care of you.

Lancia over Olentangy 152 8-3, nkt sure if it was Pollit. Not sure who Mt. Vernon has at 120, but he was giving Kakos all he could handle from what I saw.

Lancia vs. Staton comes later...

Edit: Kakos lost in the closing seconds 4-3, it was against Dakota Riley

Great Thursday night of wrestling.. I mean straight brawls instead of matches in my view, and ohh how bad that official got boo'ed during ever match. I personally told him that McDonalds was hiring. It's a disappointing day in wrestling when you see a referee unable to complete their duties.. It's more sad to see a coach support this behavior (The ref SEEMED paid off; and I couldn't help but notice the coach sweet talking the ref almost [as if he were kissing his ear ;) ] Way to set an example though coach and ref, BOTH from the same team obviously. It's nice to see a team tore apart though... Mentally! With several technical penalties Mt. Vernon won both their duals.. Congrats the better team won? Right? Go Watkins forever though!

Pollitt wrestled @145. Maleke Mitchell wrestled a tough match @152. We had some starters out this week, but The Braves fought hard. It was great to get "Big Ben Young back in the line-up @hwt.

Freshman Terry is tough at 120, thats a loaded weight at the District
Good to see Hogue back in the mix of things.
Miller looking sharp with the win over Piecynzski (keep in mind, Miller is cert at 138)
Good win for S.Deluse over Bondurant
Sunkle with a solidifying win over Bond at 70

Pick Central is looking TOUGH
Lancaster is sharp as well, I think in general, sliding some of their guys up didn't really play in their favor.
