Ok maybe they weren't hipsters more like ex skate board punks. Just noticed a lot of younger 'kids' there that were not at previous tastings. Drew is flamboyant with his skull cap and chain around his neck. Seemed more like a rapper than a cigar Dude. Plus I always confuse hipsters and the like as I'm an old fart.

Thanks for the tips/rules. As in music once you know the rules you can break them. I have a tendency to blast the foot with my triple burner when lighting it. (Watched Drew do the same thing) I do relax while smoking it and enjoy the flavors I find within it. If it's a great cigar I'll smoke it down until it burns my fingers...lol. I just hate to give it up. I never smash it out though. I always let it go out on it's own out of respect for the enjoyment it gave me. :D

Oh and as far as pieces of tobacco in the mouth I don't mind. They usually find a place between 'my cheek and gum'...I'm an ex dipper. In fact I've been known to take what I've cut/punched and place it there on my own.

Hammering the foot with a torch is indeed another acceptable way, I believe. I know plenty of guys who smoke it down lower than a quarter length. That's just a rule of thumb.

Actually having a CAO LX2 INSIDE the house tonight. The Wife had two Hopslams then two Founders Breakfast Stouts and said because F InBev. Got a fire going in the Fire place so that's where I'm blowing the smoke.

This one is going good. Much better than the MX2 I had a while back that let me down. I'm trying to work through my more common ones lately that I've had on hand for a while. (CAO and RP's) Can't wait until Spring to toke em outdoors and really damage my Lungs. :D

You're not supposed to inhale!!! :D

I know they're discontinued now, but if you can find the CX2, GET IT! In my opinion, it's the best of the X2 series.

Going to wait until the wife goes to bed, because fuck InBev. Then I'm having an Illusione. If you can find one, get one of those, too.

I know about the inhale thing and I try not too, but I am a nasty smoker. (Djarum Special Clove Cigars...screw Cigarettes as they taste like burning paper). Sometimes your really can't get the flavor in the back of your throat unless a little escapes into the lungs...OMG love it and the little lingering burn.

I'll look for those. I don't need anymore at this time as I have so many that I can't fit in my Humidor. Gonna seriously look for another one this weekend plus a travel one. (Hard Case). You are right as CI has some nice ones for sale. Might have to go that route.

Sure. Anymore, I almost never buy from a shop unless I'm smoking it in their lounge as CI does indeed fill my humidor for a pretty cheap price.

The only reason I buy from them is due to their cigar tasting. 3 sticks for $15.00 and a ticket that comes with it. Once a month They draw a ticket for a raffle and the winner gets cigars from all the cigars that they had for the past month. Nice bonus. My Cousin won it last week and we shared the spoils.

Seriously, where do you live? If I'm ever in town, I'm going to check to see if I'm there at the right time.

Fairfield Ohio. Just Northwest of Cincy by a half hour or so. Cigar tastings every Thursday at Jungle Jim's. It on the web.

Plus I'm about a half hour or less from The Party Source in Northern Ky. They handle Perdomos that the Jungle doesn't handle. They say they don't sell here, but they have a huge selection of them at The Party Source...And higher ABV beers we can't get in this 'Great' State.

At the Jungle cigar tasting you can buy raffle tickets. Starts off with sampler packs, then a humidor, then on to boxes of cigars. The more raffle tickets sold the more boxes raffled. Plus you don't pay taxes in boxes sold at the tasting. Some kind of a loop hole in the law I think.

Rickey Rodriguez, master blender of CAO, was there tonight. He developed the Concert and OSA. He even gave away some 'trainer' cigars. Cigars missing the the wrapper for the first inch, then burns into the wrapper to show you how much flavor comes from the wrapper. Took a pic of him. Not with me, but with The Wife.

I should add my Cousin and his friend both got a sampler pack from CAO since they were the first to arrive and stayed they whole time. Cool because his friend is just getting into Cigars. This was after we both gave him some sticks to try.

And here I am home and wanting another smoke...it will happen once The Wife goes to bed.

See, now THIS is the kind of guy whose hand I would shake. Never mind the douche nozzle you were around last time.

You are correct my friend. Jonathan Drew was a 'doush' as compared to Rickey. He was a totally a class act.

I had a Montecristo Platinum tonight with the future father in law. The wrapper had a chocolate flavor that was pretty noticeable. One of the best medium bodied cigars I have had. I might get these for the groomsmen.

Oh yeah. Those are excellent. Had a few when I visited my brother-in-law in Colorado, back when he was at USAFA. We all sat in the hotel's outdoor jacuzzi and enjoyed them. Since we were the only people out there, nobody complained, so it was perfect. Starry, clear night. Mild temperatures (70ish). Excellent cigar. Jacuzzi.

Agreed on all counts: WAR having cigars inside, Woodford is a tasty night cap, and fuck InBev!

I'm happy to please, as I coined the "because fuck AB InBev."

I think that's the first thing I've ever started on here. :D

Reps for that when I get to a PC.

Currently having a CAO Cameroon Stubby while The Wife is sleeping. Hopefully she'll never know and it's down right decent.

Well The Wife went to bed and now is my time to have one. A Perdomo Grand Cru. It's kinda dry but I'm liking it, as always.

Good news is I only have 5 more dried out ones left. Everything else is in my Humidors which are working good...finally.
