Wes Stueve ‏@WeStueve 12s I think this also shows the role analytics play in Cleveland. Fans of analytics generally don't value RB position.

WOW! I am loving it as a Colts fan. Speechless as someone in Toledo who follows/actively cheers for the Browns.

The RB position has dimished big time in the NFL.

I think that the browns are looking forward to next season to get an elite QB and WR in the first round of the draft.
Richardson looked slow, sluggish so far this season.

I think they got a good deal actually.

Now, to go back in history a little bit, isnt the last time the browns made the playoffs when they traded, or was it released, their QB after week one??????

So were going to get like the 27th pick for our best and only playmaker outside of Gordon?

It sucks so fucking bad being a browns fan

I think the colts are actually going to take a step back this year and the browns will get a 15-18th pick with this move.

Trent is going to go for 1500 all purpose yards with Indy. And it's going to piss me off

I agree he does seem like a bit of a bust. His YPC is terrible and doesn't really wow you running the ball. Idk maybe Manziel slides down and Cleveland is able to draft him, but again Indy is coming off an 11-5 year so this could very well be the 20th pick

Chud wants a reason to air it out 60 times a game and now he has one. He doesn't have a RB. Bobby Rainey era begins!

With Hoyer we are fucked. 0-16? 1-15?
Can he be worse than Weeden? Brandon is an average QB at best

Wanna place a bet? I will pick the middle of my prediction and go with 17th. I say the colts will be close to the 17th pick than the 27th pick you predicted.

Mixed opinions all over twitter. Its probably a smart move long term. Dion Lewis has a lot of potential if he can ever stay healthy. Just not a fan of them throwing in the towel already.

Colts were taking a step back because their schedule was significantly tougher. BUT, a LARGE part of that was a terrible running game. Now, they still have a bottom 5 O-Line, but Trent SIGNIFICANTLY improves the running game. The defense was improved big time in the off-season.

I had the Colts at about 9-7 and fighting for the Wild Card, but to be honest, after this trade, Im not sure Houston even wins the division...

Does that mean that next year is the "2nd first year" or "3rd first year" for this new regime?

Why do Browns fans always get stuck with this God forsaken 5 year fucking plan mentality every time a regime comes in.

We are now 3 years away from being competitive at a minimum as it is clear that everyone not picked by Banner/Lombardi is going to be shown the door.

I absolutely love the move. With the de-valuation of the RB position, we NEVER should have drafted him 3rd overall. I love the player, but we need to look at this objectively. We just traded someone who hasn't proven himself worth the 3rd overall pick for a 1st rounder in a loaded draft that also helps our draft position by making us a worse team.

We have 7 picks in the first 4 rounds, and like we've talked about all offseason in our optimism on this team, we actually could be a franchise QB and only a couple of pieces away from the playoffs.

I dont buy that at all.

Its clear these guys will spend in FA. Its clear that they do not believe in Weeden. We have seen what a top rookie QB can do, which is lead a team from worst in the league to playoffs in a season.

We'll figure some terms of the bet.

I like Luck, and hope he has a great career but I think last year they played way over their heads and this year they take a step back. I am thinking more like 9-7 so not sure if that makes them around the 17 pick or not,but oh well.

I'm just not understanding how you can justify trading one of your best players 2 games into the season for a future draft pick. If it was for a proven QB or something of that nature it would be a lot easier to understand. They now have 1 playmaker on the entire team.

Yeah right. They have the Dolan mentality as far as spending as little as possible to pad the bottom line.

That is why we have a professional account making all roster decisions instead of a real football guy.

It is by design.

Browns are two years away from being two years away...again.
