So far Abdulla the Sheriff is skating by unscathed on this Big Red Rape case. Could that guy be anymore like Boss Hog running a small town drug, prostitution and gambling operations? Forget the two juvie rapists (they are screwed the rest of their lives anyway) but I wanna see some big time take downs of Abdulla, Reno, Cnty Prosecutor who "removed" herself from the case after it was discoverd her own son was involved the night the girl was raped.

"Sources" saying Sackashit will be testifying, perhaps as soon as today. To what I have no idea if he was totally out of the loop as he has claimed.

Verdict will come on Sunday.

Looks like it wasn't that hard of a case to go on trial. Unbelievable people in Steubenville. Something needs to happen with that place.

The AP was tweeting all day about how the girl couldn't remember anything from the night of the incident. Welcome to last year. So it was probably bad news that they reached a verdict so quickly?

If they can reach a verdict so quickly, how come they didn't do anything about it until March...

The texts are very damaging, but otherwise I assume no DNA evidence?

Also, people aren't going to like this but aside from the text about fingering this isn't rape - rape requires penetration. Sexual assault, but not rape. At least based on what I read (but I haven't followed closely at all).

FYI Fingering is rape. Rape is penetration with a body part or object. Your fingers are a body part.

If she was too drunk to consent, any actions thereafter are considered rape in the eyes of the law. If this isn't a coverup, they're done for

Yes, that's why I said "aside from the [alleged] fingering..."

That would be rape, if they could prove that (which was my point). Which they probably can't beyond a reasonable doubt (texts aren't proof, it could have just been posturing) and otherwise it's then not rape but a less serious form of sexual assault/battery.

Huh? How is it rape if no rape took place?

Not correct. The law says "sexual conduct".

Attorney General Mike Dewine will be holding his own press conference immediately following the judges verdict this morning. I'd assume this makes all of the kids that were involved in texting and sharing pics a bit nervous.

Unfortunately there will only be 2 people punished. The corruption in that town will remain intact

It's still horseshit that they were tried as juveniles
