There isn't anything in the email dump that I'd classify as "kiddie pr0n." That said, Manowar's taste in the ladies is predictably pedestrian.

I don't know...fill me in. I do know they started a petition to tag WBC as a hate group.

Well the reputation hit only matters as much as one cares about them, and I for one couldn't give care at all. If they had real damning evidence of a crime they should nut up and provide evidence for the authorities to obtain a legal warrant - and if they committed crimes again nut up and do admit to it. Until then for all I know they are 30 year old virgins living in their mothers' basements. And aren't worth anything more. I can't believe I wasted nearly a dozen posts discussing the matter.

Read up on Anonymous. The FBI have been chasing them for years. Anonymous and their subgroups have taken down government websites, including the Dept. of Justice site. MOW is ManO'War, the owner of the rollredroll.com website, and poster on this site and JJ.

They've provided the evidence it's up to the authorities to act.

They claimed to have done just that. It's there for anyone to see if they are so inclined (I'm personally not interested in what is a side ring in this circus).

And again, to what sort of prosecution? Anything they post or do isn't admissible in court, and by reading one of the posts above one of them wouldn't even allow an interview without revealing their name. It could be a brilliant hacking, or just a ruse. We don't know. What we do know is what they produce isn't productive, so we shouldn't presume it is reliable.

Not usable in a court of law != unproductive.

Of course it is unproductive. If I think my neighbor has subscribed to a kiddie porn magazine and I steal one from his mailbox, if I don't admit to stealing from the mailbox (which itself is a crime), my testimony is worthless. It will be destroyed on cross-examination if not thrown out entirely, ergo, worthless.

Is it admissible in court if the police see what Anonymous has done, obtain a search warrant, and then uncover the same information to be used in court?

Other ways to really fuck up that neighbor's life with that mag than the court system.

Anon has provided the method to obtain those that are allegedly guilty. Should they not receive apologies from the guilty parties (thereby admitting guilt), they will release personal information. If the authorities don't act on the method provided, they will appear equally as guilty. No matter how obtained, those guilty are skeeerewed.

If nothing else, prosecution in the court of public opinion. If you're outted as someone keeping kiddie porn, that's just about as bad as being locked up, your life is ruined, and essentially over. Anonymous isn't any kind of ruse, there is plenty of evidence out there pertaining to their hacking ability. Watch the video on Youtube of them hacking the WBC website while they were doing a news interview with a WBC member. They're legit, and actually pretty calm in their methods, unlike NaziGods, and some other hacktivist groups.

Manhattan- please do A LOT more reading on the case so that you become familiar with the situation.

The NY times article puts the whole story together pretty well from what I recall.

I hope the child porno case doesn't overshadow the original gang rape case. What those players, coaches and admns did to cover up a heinous crime to save a football program is on par with Penn State and more than just the two arrested need to answer for that crime.

I do not think there is any case for child porn. It wasnt the rape victim in his email, it was a girl from Steubenville (per a guy from IC who knows her). Not underage, but still messed up considering MoW is married.
