I figured I'd bring this topic here since it's one of the more popular forums and is about more than high school football.

There was an rather active FB event for a rally at the Steubenville courthouse for this Saturday, but after a quick search it looks like it has been deleted. It also mentioned a petition on whitehouse.gov to move the case out of juvenile courts.

This was a hot topic while I was home for the holidays. It's pretty crazy to me to see such a powerful and global group intervene on this issue in the quiet Ohio Valley. A lot of the local people have no idea who Anonymous is and what they are capable of. I lol'd when one local news broadcaster stated.... "info on Anonymous the hacking situation has been reported to the proper authorities".....:laugh:


Now this story is out on the nation scale, thoughts on what will come of this?

Interesting story Automatik, thanks for sharing. While I don't have enough information to vilify the boys or the girl in this case, what continues to sicken me is the media coverage of "alleged" incidents. Even if these boys are innocent (and I am not saying they are), their lives are royally screwed because of this. Freedom of Press was not meant to crucify those who were accused of crimes ... really wish police records and arrests were not public knowledge until after a conviction (which will never happen, I know).

That being said, if this girl was indeed raped, this is truly a sad story and I feel for her.

Yeah if the Federal government can not find Anonymous then I doubt the local police will be able to find them.

If Anonymous is involved, it will not turn out good for those involved.

*edit: Since they have become involved with Westboro Baptist things have turned quickly.

One of them goes by Cosmo the god. He has hacked Amazon Paypal and Microsoft and temporarily shut down the NASDAQ and CIA websites. Supposed to be on probation and banned from the internet. He is 15 years old.

Glad to see Anonymous get down into some "grass roots" issues. These guys are good and very talented and will definitely expose Stubbyville's cover-up and bring justice to this girl and her family.

Hilarious what the Stubby football coach said, "...I don't do the internet!" with some expletives thrown in at a public meeting.

I discovered this story this weekend in the ha football forum. It's a crazy situation and it sounds like its a good think Anon stepped in. Isn't ManOWar a OC member b/c it sounds like he could be In big trouble as well.
