You are serious?

Bird is right there with Magic, Kareem, Russell and Jerry West in that "next tier" behind MJ, Wilt and Oscar. Those are the seven greatest in history. Guys like Kobe and LeBron will have a chance to make a claim one day when their careers are over. I'm not sure where I would rank them at this point. That discussion is still open.

Not surprised.

I don't even have Bird in my top 50 list. Dude sucks and is overrated. Pretty funny that Old Timers like to hold onto players that would suck it up if they played in a real league with real talent. LOL @ Larry Bird.

NFL or CFB
These were always the best especially the Lebron/Kobe ones.

I will add the "Which sport is the toughest" debates.

Pretty much nobody here would agree with this, which is why nobody even took the time to respond.

More basketball debates: Could Dustin Pfiefer play DI or in the NBA and, more specifically, was he better than Drew Lavendar. The answer is no to all of that. Also, Dante Jackson versus Jon Diebler.

No. And no.

Not even sure why anyone would argue otherwise

NASCAR drivers are, IMO, not athletes in the traditional sense of the word -- my understanding of the term athlete is somebody who participates and excels in a physical form of sports -- but racing is certainly a sport. Just as human racing is a sport. So by that logic I guess you could also call NASCAR drivers athletes in the sense that they are the people participating in that sport. If that makes sense.

Full disclosure, I don't care.

I enjoyed reading who the Cavs should draft with their #1 overall pick in 2003: LeBron James (who many said would have a mediocre career at best), Carmelo Anthony, or Darko Milicic.

I don't remember who now. That was a long time ago. I still remember it being a discussion on the old site, though.

Sadly, I was at least open to Darko Milicic, though I preferred LBJ.

Gas prices

Should Mike D'Andrea go to Nebraska or Ohio State?

My all-time fave: should coaches let their players out of practice early on Halloween so they can go trick or treating?
