Hauling stuff/snow vehicle-1990 Dodge Dakota 4WD, 250,000 miles; rebuilt engine @ 125000, new tranny @ 150,000 miles runs like a champ, looks like crap. Want a new truck but can't justify the price for the little amount I would drive it.
I drive an 03 Tiburon as well, and agree. Not even sure how much money I've put into it in the 3 years I've owned it. I even had my a-frame snap while I was driving SMH. Lucked out and it was on recall, so I'd check it out to see if it has been fixed if I were you...it has potential to be really dangerous.

I figure with all the money I've put into it, and it only having 95k, it should last me longer than I need.

Really..the 03 Tiburon was under recall? We bought wifes car new off lot and I do not remember ever seeing or receiving a recall on it. We have been pretty lucky in only doing regular maintanance on it. My reasoning on being pc of crap is the ride and how small it is. I am fairly tall and big and it is a bear for me to even get behind the wheel.

How would I go about finding out if wifes car should have been recalled? Ideas?

click the drop down box on the right of each recall for more details. I would definitely call a dealership to ask them to see if the air bag and front control arm have been fixed. Very dangerous..I was lucky mine broke while pulling from a stop sign instead of going 70mph on the interstate. Your car literally falls onto your tire. You will have the give them the VIN, if I remember right.

Thank you so much. I found a recall list but will check out the link you provided. We did not purchase her car until Dec of 03 and I see some of the recalls were before that date so may have been taken care of before we bought it. Others as the front control arm were not. Will be calling dealer tomorrow!..THX!

glad I helped..when I think about it, I get a little pissed because I have never received any paperwork on a recall and like I said it could cause a serious accident.

The problem is when they built the car, they didnt use proper steel for the midwest and northeast regions. The salt on the road during the winter months causes the steel to rust, and your whole car is putting weight on that..causing breakage.

Same here Pick..wife and I were talking, and we never received a recall notice from them at all. When I called Hyundai, all I gave them was wifes name, address, phone number and they said yep..that car on recall. They never even asked for vin # as they had it on record. Since we are original owners, it would have very easy to pull up names, addy's etc of anyone who bought a Tiburon with any vin # that was affected by recall. Complete BS

They probably did notify you and you inadvertently pitched the notice. Pretty sure they're required by law to notify you

2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser

In the warm months 2009 Ducati 848

Words of advice, Toyota trucks have transmission problems, lucky for me mine was still a few hundred miles under warrenty when it went out. They say they fixed the problem..we shall see.

Ducati's are great, but take a decent amount of money on servicing.
