Did anyone see the Purple Raiders come-from-behind win today? Awesome performance in the fourth quarter. Can't wait to see them on ESPNU Friday night.

Just read about it.

I'm still bitter towards their QB! but hope they pull out the win in their 8th consecutive title game.

He was the QB for the Louisville Leopards in '07 when they beat my Alma Mater in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Not sure what ever happened to Neal Seaman but the QB you speak of is not the QB at Mount. A sophomore from St. Edwards named Kevin Burke has started all year. Seaman only took two snaps the first game and has been a ghost since. Maybe he quit rather then sit behind a sophomore?

I didn't know that. It says he's still on the roster on their website. Wasn't he doing pretty good? Injury maybe?

I listened to the game yesterday, it was an impressive come back. I'm happy for them.

I know he was injured at the end of last year and only took a few snaps in the Stagg Bowl. Other than that all I could find was a thread from another forum saying that Burke had won the starting job from him in practices this summer.

Mount seemed to be on cruise control last season until Seaman got hurt. They weren't the same team without him and it showed against Whitewater. Now this Burke guy, he simply exudes confidence and has the passing and running skills to dominate a game. I really like their chances Friday, even more so if the defense gets pissed and decides to flex their muscles.

What time's the game, and will it be aired on network TV?

DIII Football is about playing from your heart for the love of the game. Many great HS coaches come out of DIII.

That is true even though my union might be the exception. 2 nfl receivers In the past 5 years and a lot of good coaches. Toledo's head coach and alot of his staff all came and played at mt union. What's crazy is Larry Kehres was offered a lot of Mac level head coaching jobs but decided to stay at mt union and having played for coach Kehres, he is a great football mind and person.

Really? I hope not. I loved coach kehres. He made you work for every sec of playing time you would get. Took absolutely no shit from any one either lol. We were at practice one day and I made a decent catch and he called me over and was saying he liked how I was progressing and to keep it up and stopped mid sentence to yell at someone 3 practice fields over and the continued like nothing happened lol.

I actually heard it from a parent of a Heidelberg player, but I have no idea the validity of it. I thought if anything you may have heard something.

I heard that rumor throughout my time at mount....that was 1999-2003. I think that rumor floats around every year.
