Alright I'll expand on that. More rushing yards pushing Lacy closer to 200 yards for the game. Would that be a bitch move since ND can't tackle.karen lotz;1360659 wrote:Hard to put up more yards than passing for a TD. Rushing and passing yards count the same.

@GerdOzone: Barrett Jones just hit A.J. McCarron harder than Notre Dame did at any point tonight.

Bama too good. Probably the worst possible start to the game for ND and obviously way too big of a hole to climb out of.

An unexpected dream season came to a nightmarish end tonight. I'm still proud of Notre Dame for making it to the BCS title game. I think better days are ahead. Go Irish Congrats to 'Bama. They were clearly better. Believe the SEC hype.

How many different teams and leagues have taken their shot at the SEC in the title game and failed the last several years? Welcome back to the big leagues, college football. I don't like it either but it is what it is. If it was as simple as you make it sound it would have happened at some point in the last 6 or 7 years.

SEC is good, but they're not unstoppable. Urban will come in and beat an SEC team in the title game, probably next year, 2 years max.
Notre Dame will be better, hopefully they can help with the fall of the SEC. I'm fucking sick of those assholes.

Alabama is that good, I'm fine with that "excuse" from anyone. The SEC as a whole, not so much anymore.

Not arguing just to argue....but do you really think that Alabama didn't look like a buzz saw tonight? Yeah, ND didn't play particularly well but 'Bama had a lot to do with it. I don't think another team in the country beats 'Bama tonight. Gives them a better game? Yes. Beats 'em? Nah.

They did...because ND was that bad. I mean did Brian Kelly forget he had a game to coach in his 45 days off or something? That's the biggest advantage the SEC has had in this run of dominance..coaching. Thankfully, their 2nd best coach has moved over to the B1G, and will actually put up some wins against that conference.killer_ewok;1360702 wrote:Not arguing just to argue....but do you really think that Alabama didn't look like a buzz saw tonight?
This is easily the least talented Alabama team in the last 5 years. And they looked unstoppable.

Gonna disagree. ND didn't look good but 'Bama looked great IMO. We can agree to disagree.

I agree Bama looked great lol most of that was because of ND, which is probably where we disagree. Although I'm not sure how you can disagree with that, ND looked just plain bad. And I was rooting for them.killer_ewok;1360712 wrote:Gonna disagree. ND didn't look good but 'Bama looked great IMO. We can agree to disagree.
It's all about coaching. Kelly was nowhere to be found--his halftime interview was a god damn joke, too. Basically admitting on national TV you give up. Trying to make it out to be playing against a Pro Bowl NFL team. No Brian, you're playing against a pretty good college team. You're a pretty good college team too. Try coaching.

I agree they were out coached. But the difference in level of talent or level of play was the deciding factor. It wasn't even close. And I was rooting for ND and actually thought it would be a competitive game.

Least talented skill position wise maybe, but that might have been the best offensive line they have had in a long time. That's what a legit line does for your team.
Also doesn't hurt to have an asshole coach. It's crazy how quickly he got things rolling there.

People actually watched past the first half? Hell, this game was over after the first quarter. ND picked the worst possible time to come out flat.
