PSU proving to be the worst of the two. BC up 14 in the 2nd half.

Illinois trailing also. B1G needs Ill and OSU to get to 7, PSU has no shot.

So, the B1G may need OSU to win just to tie the damn thing.
BC is killing Penn St., up by 12.
And thanks to a GT run, they are up on Illi by 4, with 7 left.

No team from the PAC 12 should be ranked above the top 50.

Penn State is terrible. Illinois is up 8 with about 3 minutes left though.

lol...I love it, as I think it's a great way to gauge not only where you're at, but what you have to do to dance for a while in March. These are arguably the two best conferences in the country, so if you can get a W in this Challenge, it goes a long way for your team's confidence moving forward.

No, I totally agree. The Big Ten is definitley the class of the country this year, but the ACC appears to be pretty solid as well with Duke, N.C. State, Maryland, Virginia and possibly Virginia Tech. Florida State and Miami are also teams that could make some real noise if they start getting their acts together. The Canes made that first step last night, thoroughly handling the Michigan State Fighting Izzos. The rest of the ACC is not worth mentioning this year.

I just wish that there was some way in place of deciding a real "winner" of the Challenge in the event of a draw. Perhaps by something as simple as the conference with the largest average margin of victory or something. A tie is the single most stupid thing in all of sports. The end of the 49ers-Chargers game a couple of weeks back was a pure disgrace. Competition is about winning and losing. What they fuck did they even play the game for?

^^^agreed, and just to be clear, when I said "I love it" I meant the Challenge, not the fact that they tied

So, if Penn State defeats BC and the Big 10 wins the challenge the Big 10 is declared the better conference. This made for TV event is what it is, great TV and not much more. Which conference is the best will be determined by success in the NCAA tournament.

The question that needs answered is how many teams from each conference are good enough to get to the Sweet 16 or the Great Eight?

Duke already played Minnesota.
What other games ACC vs. Big Ten have occurred?
Use those results

Bryant College (NEC) beat Boston College (ACC) by 12.
Maryland (ACC) beat Long Island (NEC) by 17.

ACC = NEC. I expect at least 6 bids for each conference in the NCAA Tournament...
