Our entire 1st floor is hardwood as well but our one dog would destroy the thing if we had one. She goes nuts on the regular vacuum. A roomba would piss her off, I think. Sounds really convenient, though.

They are nice, but they do have flaws and shouldn't be a replacement vacuum.

I hear the Neato robotic vacuums are good too, but they're way expensive for my tastes.

We still use the Dyson once a week, but the other 6 days its Roomba. Hardwood/Carpet/Tile....the only problem we've had so far is its pulling apart one of the rugs in the kitchen(cheap rug apparently).

What does a Roomba do with wires and such? Stairs?

The newer ones are smart enough to untangle themselves if they get caught, but mine likes to get stuck on the ends of cables and such. It's caught the end of my micro USB cable a few times and drug it around the room.

As for stairs, it has sensors that senses if it's going to fall off or not...so no worries there.

BTW...Have a Shark and a Dyson, both were gifts...the Shark is just as good and probably no where near the price.

I know all dogs are different, but I have seen a few dogs around a roomba, and it always brings the lulz. The few dogs I have seen didn't even dare to touch the roomba.

At first my cat was terrified of mine, but now she doesn't give a shit.

I've bought good deals there. Excellent choice.

I got a 32GB flashdrive from Amazon for $13...which I thought was pretty good.
