Cincy plays NY Jets @ 1
NE plays Houston @ 1
Pittsburgh plays Miami @ 1

No resting players for NE and Cincy as they are playing for the 3rd seed,so Pittsburgh could be sitting pretty come 4 o clock next Sunday.

I just hope they don't use one of those games as flex schedule game.

Steelers need both the Bengals and Patriots to kick off at the same time so the No. 3 seed is still in doubt.

Flex schedule has to be done two weeks ahead of time..so those will be the kickoff times.

As for the playoffs....A Pittsburgh win, Patriots over Texans, and Bengals over Jets.....hello playoffs. There is one other scenario (that I could come up with)....All things the same but the Jets beat the Bengals...then the Ravens would need to lose to Oakland as well for the Steelers to get in....Here's hoping to scenario uno.

Finally...Mason's "drop".....Tomlin went to challenge the play and the ref said this....."if you challenge the play I can tell you right now I won't overturn it" .... with the replay being showed about 10 times on the board.....and Mason clearly fumbling the ball...I don't know how he could say that. But...whatever....live to fight another game...go Steelers!

The flex schedule for the final week can be made six days ahead of time.

It's an exception to the usual rule.

They'll probably decide tonight.

Philly vs. Dallas would be a possibility unless Dallas has appeared too many times on primetime. I think there is a rule about that.

Baltimore is a sorry ass franchise? Lol that's funny.

So I'm lost. The announcers of the Philly/Denver game said that if Denver lost then Baltimore and New York would be in the 2 wild card spots and they would be in control of their own destiny but I haven't read anybody talking like that on this thread. Who is right? lol

They are right..the Ravens and the Jets win..the Ravens and Jets will get the final 2 spots. Regardless of what the Steelers or the Broncos do. The Ravens and the Jets control their own destiny if I'm not mistaken.

They are right if BOTH of them win....but if not it's an either or thing then a million other factors come into play. Check out the yahoo playoff generator...it let's you tinker with who wins and what not to come up with the final playoff pairings.

Colts throwing the game to the Jets definitely didn't help. I don't know that I'd pick the Bengals to beat the Jets right now regardless of how much rests on them winning. They had just as much (more actually, as they hadn't clinched the division yet) riding on today's game and looked like they were sleepwalking against the Chiefs.

Funny to you but it's reality, especially when you make a request to the league to not play a certain opponent away in prime time..........sorry and pathetic.

Please!
haha you can clearly see the steelers lineman pulling the ravens defender from behind on that last replay they showed.
You mean like how it was clear that Mason had possession and took two steps? The announcers certainly thought it was a fumble. Lemme guess, Enberg and Fouts are Steeler fans too. LMAO
haha two steps dont mean anything. you need to make a "football move". and second, the announcers were a joke. they were wrong on several plays throughout the game.

Two steps and striding forward sure seems like a "football move" to me.

doesnt matter what it means to you, its what it means to the refs.
You mean like the holding that you thought you saw? Yep, doesn't matter what you thought.....all that matters is what the refs thought. Thanks for bringing that up!

It was pretty public in the offseason. The NFL wanted to schedule the Ravens vs. the Steelers in Pittsburgh to open the season on that opening Thursday night. The Ravens requested to not be the Steelers opponent in that week 1 prime time game to kick off the season.

^^^Why would it matter to the Ravens if it was prime time or not? I mean, it isn't like they still wouldn't have to play them twice.

You'd have to ask them that.

Yeah, that is strange. I mean, maybe they didn't want to get beat with national coverage, but that is just an odd request on their part.

From what that link says the Ravens put in a scheduling request to the league because they didn't want to play a prime time game in Pittsburgh for a third straight year.

Shit, they got beat in broad daylight at Heinz Field today so I guess it really doesn't matter. :)

Yeah, that's true. But at least we made them wait a week and now they've got to work for it. :)

Ive previousy said, Ill pull for Pitts. Its sad the NYJ control their own destiny. Pitts woulld beat them by 10 if they played anywhere next week!!
