Obama doesn't govern, he campaigns. So how can he truly be accountable/responsible for anything?
Not really.
Unlike Iran-Contra, where the Executive Branch broke several laws trading arms for hostages.
And Reagan didn't know, and didn't resign.

So, if the President now didn't know, why should he resign?

At a minimum, for the inept 'leadership' that led to the death of 4 American officials, and the subsequent, endorsed, effort to mislead the public via Ms. Rice, not to mention the doctored statements and on and on and on ....

So, then Reagan should have back in the day? He did oversee an Executive Branch that broke the law.

Why?

Why didn't Obama know that OUR embassy - not HIS embassy - was under attack for 7 hours?
Why didn't Obama send help when it was requested over and over and over and over both during and prior to the terrorist attack?
Why didn't Obama come clean with all Americans and say the truth about yet another terrorist attack on American soil (embassies are treates as if they exist on their country's soil)?
Why hasn't Obama retaliated for the terrorist attack?
Why hasn't he arrested or sought out those responsible for the terrorist attack?
Why did he approve of Ambassador Rice's talking points of denying this was a terrorist attack and the spontaneous result of some poor fool's YouTube video if he knew it was indeed a terrorist attack?

PTown, he doesn't need to resign because of what he didn't know, he needs to resign because of his entire lack of competence, his inability to tell the truth, and his wanton disregard of the 4 victim's families desire to know how their brothers/fathers/sons were murdered. Ineptitude doesn't even come close to describing Obama's complete and total lack of leadership.

But hey, at least we didn't elect a dog-hating, woman-hating greedy, tax-cheat. This community agitator is sooooooo much more qualified.

He shouldn't after all how could he know? It isn't as if he's a conspiracy theorist and started a thread on a two bit website like Ohio Chatter just after it happened and turned out to be 100% right. He's only the POTUS with actual access to the State Department.

BTW, whatever happened to my thread, it would be great to read some of the posts on it.

And Ollie North was tried and convicted (later vacated). So who in the Obama admin is going to jail? Someone will have to fall on the sword.

Nobody with the most transparent administration in American history will be sacrificed. The MSM will see to it.

Speaking of this, the most transparent administration in history, we now have this:

I wonder if Fox was invited to the "off-the-record" meeting.

The collusion between this administration and the MSM is borderline criminal...and obviously predictable.

Nah...Fox isn't "mainstream"...although it is the #1 cable news network by far. Go figure

given this...this 'closed thread' is a very interesting read.

Certainly, some vindication is in order for Fox News and for several politicians who pressed on despite ridicule. Americans deserve the truth.

The administration is still insisting that it made only 'stylized changes' to Benghazi 'talking points'....Nordstrom and Hicks tell a completely different story. Equally as disconcerting was how that hampered getting the FBI to the scene to investigate, was an embarrasment to themselves and Lybian officials, and how pressure was put on them to conform to the administration's line.
Very disconncerting.
More disconcerting...this doesn't even speak to the ignored security requests, security reduction, lack of preparedness...etc.

One has to wonder how many other 'stylized changes' to the truth have been made to the American people. I'm know that other administrations have done this...so please don't spout on about Bush, Reagan et al, as these have been well documented....but this should be a wake up call to all Americans and the mainstream media that this administration is no different...maybe even worse....and that we need to be attentive, stop swilling the Kool aid, and the MSM needs to do its job.

Carney kind of threw Hillary under the bus yesterday, saying something along the lines of balancing interests, implying that the State Dept was pushing a spin to serve their own self-interest.

Disregarding the fact that the State Dept answers to Obama, throwing Hillary under the bus is a very dangerous tactical move. Now Obama almost certainly plausible deniability, but that's far more debateable for Hillary. She seems to have been pretty actively involved, and given what happened it's almost inconceivable she wasn't intimately involved as the Head of State in all the key aspects.

I don't think there's any love lost between the Clintons and Obama. Obama is not going to torpedo her Presidential hopes AGAIN. This whole thing might just be starting to get REALLY interesting.

However, given Hillary's talent for brushing off scandals, I think what we'll find is Obama and Hillary signing off on the final talking points and not privy to the back-and-forth revisions, at least there won't be a record otherwise. Eventually a sacrificial lamb is going to be offered up, but it won't connect to Hillary or Obama.

Which probably also explains the near extraordinary efforts of the MSM, and indeed the administration, to discredit and ridicule Fox at every turn. Fox is basically the one media outlet standing in the way of this administration's unfettered manipulation of public opinion.

Not the only outlet however. Conservative talk radio and conservative blog sites are also available for an opinion contrary to the leftist "mainstream" media.

But most of those "outlets" only offer opinion on the news being reported. Fox is really the only one with the resources and access to truly challenge the narrative. They also have the ratings to matter.

I'm shocked - SHOCKED - I tell you that the truth of the so-called "Affordable" Health Care Act is turning out to be an expensive and intrusive nightmare.

When this albatross finally kicks in and effects everyone (except Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the idiots in Congress of course) I want ONE leftist moron who voted for this joke of a president to tell me they're pissed because of all the red tape and costly bullshit they need to deal with because they're all now receiving gubmint mandated health care.

Heads need to roll over this. Taxes are necessary function of government. Any notion that the federal tax collecting authority could be used as a political tool must be vanquished posthaste. The political impartiality of the IRS is vital to the internal security of this nation. The commissioner of the IRS should resign immediately. Those responsible should be relieved of their duties.
