I had my thoughts on Obama, but I waited to see what he did.

Those are my thoughts on Trump. I'll withhold criticism until we see result start to come in. But if Obama lowered the Office to one of perpetual campaigning, then Trump appears dead-set on lowering it even further to one of perpetual trolling.

I mean, I never hear anyone talk about yellow privilege. Asians do better across the board, but because they didn't own slaves here the identity pols can't blame their success on racism.

Well, it's mainly an academic theory that wasn't a "thing" until about 30 years ago....and, curiously enough, that paper was titled "White Privilege and Male Privilege", but you really don't hear much about that second half (I wonder why).

It's really about wealth privilege - that's why you don't hear any of this from Asians eventhough they probably encounter nearly as much racism.

Electing our First African American President was certainly a step in the right direction for equality but pretending that means America, who just elected the most racist President of all time, is no longer racist is absolutely ignorant.

Hopefully the nation can be redeemed in 2020.

So how is it that relations cratered in the last 8 years? Is it the greatest missed opportunity in race relations in history? Who's to blame: the white people who elected the black president, or the black man who became the president.

Anyway, what an incredible speech by the best President we've probably ever had. I can only imagine the lack of class and dignity in the speech that will come in 2020 from the Cheeto in Chief.
