Some things about him from other sites:
"Kevin Meade, Dave Boston Sr.’s son-in-law, coached the Buckeyes for 10 years before Boston Jr. took over."
"Head Coach for the Buckeyes from 1993-2002."
"Undefeated teams in 94 and 97, both teams finished as runners up in the region, back when NY was in Division 4, Region 15. Kevin Meade defeated the following teams in the playoffs: Coshocton in '94, Wheelersburg in '97 and Valley in '98. This was back when fewer teams made the playoffs."

I spoke to someone (though not an insider, definitely has community connections) yesterday that said the coach at Alexander is very interested and is getting some heavy consideration because of the way he turned that program around.

Nothing against Coach Arno, but He's did it against WEAK competition. They dropped Trimble so they could pick up Millermdd2299;1350626 wrote:I spoke to someone (though not an insider, definitely has community connections) yesterday that said the coach at Alexander is very interested and is getting some heavy consideration because of the way he turned that program around.

We had one coach from Alex. back in the late 70's and early 80's and he made his mark by playing weak competition. Meade or Carter are better coaches!Enforcer;1354542 wrote:Nothing against Coach Arno, but He's did it against WEAK competition. They dropped Trimble so they could pick up Miller

I hope whoever it is, it will be somebody that DEMANDS results from the kids. He doesn't have to be liked, just respected.

46 applicants narrowed down to 8. Selection expected by the end of the month, per LDN.

Also the new coach must instill a warrior mentality and have his team play the game with heart!mdd2299;1356855 wrote:I hope whoever it is, it will be somebody that DEMANDS results from the kids. He doesn't have to be liked, just respected.

I would think it would be in the best interest for them to keep it as tight lipped as possible during the search. Some coaches get "spooked" or whatever if/when their name gets out and decide to pull out of the running if it gets out.
There is a local coach whom twice was "outed" as applying to another HC job. He quickly withrew both times as I guess he didnt appreciate it very much. Their loss though as he now has 6 titles in the last 12 or so years!

They aren't saying a word as to who the candidates are for the job.

That's why you don't pay attention to rumors and just wait until they announce the hire.
