I have a company that comes out and puts mine up and takes them down. They use those large binder clips that you use to hold stacks of loose papers together. They use the largest ones and paint them white and clip them to the edges of the gutters. They work great and it is real quick and easy.

Also. I hang lights with the plastic clips. My kids love lights and our subdivision gives prizes for best street and house. I plan on winning both.

2 of the last 3 years, I was deployed during the holidays and didn't want my wife and son to go without Christmas lights. The company that I hired does a very good job for a very reasonable fee so I am going to keep using them. They use their lights and cords, they come out in mid-November and install them and then they come back in mid-January to take them down. If any of the lights go out, I call them and they are there within 24 hours to replace them. Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy.

The extent of my Christmas decorating is pulling the fake tree outta the attic. The mrs and kids do the rest. We've never put lights outside.
