But yeah, I don't think you'll find anyone who thinks that this dude should still be able to collect those benefits. Unlike many of you guys I do see value in these types of aid programs but I really hate when they're abused. If he wasn't spending that money on rent he shouldn't be getting it and should have to pay back any of the money that was spent which didn't go to rent.

I think you simply only hear about it when it is abused. You never see a news story or Fox article about the person who's struggling to pay for food that only just makes it because of the assistance they get. That doesn't generate tv viewers or clicks for ad revenue.

I don't know the statistics on the abuse within the government handout system, but I'm guessing it's a hell of a lot more common that "rare". My wife is friends with a Franklin County Childrens Services case worker. This woman says there are a lot of people receiving free housing, foodstamps and other funds who do nothing but stay home and watch TV all day. Those she works with are horrible parents on top of this. Fathers are NEVER in the picture either. You can't say too much about her 'clients' because that would make you racist. But we have among us an entire segment of society who expects handouts, who blames everyone but themselves for their plight, who chose the easy way out of every situation they are faced with, etc. THeis burden only compounds over generations. All I have to do is step out onto the street in downtown Cleveland on my lunch break to see this group doing its 'thing'. You generally smell marijuana right out in the open in Public Square, pants riding below the butt, lopsided baseball cap, yelling "man f*** you n******* to each other in front of the general public. THese are the same people who cannot understand why they are stuck on the bottom rung of society. THey vote like lemmings, and no next to nothing about how the country and the world operate.

By the way, I borrowed my entire grad school tuition. Paid it back in time, but I was never made aware of this guy's program. I'm sure his guitar playing classes will go a long way into making him a contributing member of society.

It just impossible to track, therefore you can not get accurate statistics. If you write someone a check and say to use this money for rent, food, whatever, you have no idea if it goes for that or for beer and cigarettes.

He never said a word about the guy in the video. He just pointed out everyone seems to base their image of the other people in the country on a couple people they see in the news. There could be 100 videos posted like this but in reality these people are not the majority everyone assumes they are. As was stated, you only hear about the bad.

Trust me they could care less. They have an agenda and it just makes it more and more hilarious.

I personally just think the system is broken. I know a 29 year old divorced single mother. She doesn't get child support because the dad is a scumbag and won't get a job and would rather spend time in jail then support his child. She works two serving jobs at upscale restaurants at about 60 hours a week. Her mom and dad are great and help her raise her child while she's working. The last month her child has began having seizures. The healthcare she has will only cover about 6 months of treatment. She went to get assistance and was told she made to much. They told her to basically only work 15 hours a week and go on welfare and they will be able to provide her with insurance, food, and shelter. So basically instead of the system helping someone in need with healthcare for a sick child the systems answer was quit working so hard and live off us. The second girl in a part time secretary in our office. This girl is 24 has 3 kids by 3 different guys. None of the guys pay child support but she won't report them to the court. Our office offered her full time employment and use of the office child care services. She basically told us no because the extra 25 hours would only increase her "income" by about $200 a month because she would receive her govt benefits. These are two examples of the many problems. Some people have no motivation or pride to not use welfare while others who have the work ethic and self pride are given no choice.

You can say people have agendas. I don't have an agenda just tired of Americans attitudes going from what can I do for my country to what can my country do for me. I will gladly pay taxs to help educate people but I also want them to keep their grades at least average and be able to pass a drug test each month.

Look, my friend goes to community college and he says black people will sign up, get a big fat check from the government to pay tuition, never pay it, and drop out 2 weeks later to start the cycle all over again. Fuck em.
