At first glance, it appears to be ad hominem. By labeling someone a racist, you're attacking the claimant, but not the logical accuracy and consistency of the claim.

Actually, I consulted an attorney over this specific example. Because there is no documented expectation of legal accuracy, this is as prosecutable as lying to your wife about what your mother said about her. Written-versus-oral statements are the only real distinction.
