The bengals have made the playoffs 2 of the last 3 seasons.
And 3 of the last 7 seasons.
That is better than half of the NFL........

Shows how well they have drafted. Finishing so poorly and getting the nod to coach the Senior Bowl has really buoyed their draft prospects. They haven't hit on back to back drafts in years, hence the up and down nature of the record.
They may get a Senior bowl nod this year if they only win 4 games. Jacksonville, Cleveland, Kansas City will be vying as well.

I didn't think they'd make the playoffs, actually. I figured they'd be close but that doesn't look like it'll happen. I was just hoping they would continue on the success of last season and look promising and not be so clueless and miserable most of the time.

Seeing as how a majority of Tribe games were played between April and September, I don't see how the Browns being gone really influenced that. Those Tribe teams were stacked and won a shit ton of games, people were going to go regardless. The economy didn't suck as bad back then either.swamisez;1312952 wrote:I do find it ironic that when i converse with Clevelanders they talk of the best days in Cleveland sports and they reference the Indians of the late 90's. I would tend to think most of the reason the seats were full and attention was focused on the tribe was due to the fact they didn't have a pro football team for a few of those years.

Sounds like the rest of the fanbase follows along, as the game Sunday didn't sell out, thus won't be on TV. Sounds like it wasn't close, either. Oh well. It's my weekend to work so I wouldn't have been able to watch it anyways.

I'd rather stay at home and watch the games. I like the Bengals, but after going to Ohio State games for years now I just don't enjoy the experience at an NFL game near as much as an OSU game so I'll spend that money on Saturday.
Plus, with Redzone they'll show the game at points so still get to see part of it.
