I seriously hope that they get contacted or relocated to another town. Browns fans I am sure have days when they hate their team, but they always come back to root or them. I honestly don't have any desire to root for them. I want the city to have a winner and for the people to enjoy their Sundays but I know better.

I can't root for another team as long as cincy has a franchise so...... commissioner goodell in all of your steeler loving pompousness, please contract this franchise and save me from more Sundays of self flagellation

A bengals "fan" quitting on his team? Oh wow, that's uncharacteristic....

To be fair if my brother was a drug addict and never went to rehab despite a 20 year addiction, I'd disown him.It would be tough but you cut your losses eventually.

I agree he is a big part of the problem, no doubt. However, I do believe there was a time when he was a good coach, and probably could be a decent defensive coordinator. He has since been Bengalized and those days are a distant memory.

The main problem I see is that the team doesn't seem to have much fight in them. They really don't look like they play that hard. Back in 2009 the mantra was "fight back". Don't see much of that these days. It looks more like, "lie in wait and prepare to be mounted like a prostitute". The whore in this exchange is Mike Brown because he gets money for a service rendered that only leaves you wishing you could experience something real.

Eh, gotta agree with the Browns fans on this one. You're being a little dramatic. I think I was more pissed when they lost to the Steelers a couple weeks ago.

I will say this though: It'd be nice to be good just to get some recognition and attention. I try not to watch a lot of ESPN or other sports news shows but when I do, the Bengals and/or Browns might as well not exist. Not that I'm surprised. Who wants to talk about teams that constantly lose.

Always loved the Bengals always will. I made it thru Coslett, Shula, and Brown.
We have some nice pieces just need to put it all together especially on the secondary, and o line and rb.

They perpetually have good pieces, but it never comes together. I think the thing that sent me over the edge this year is the general lack in enthusiasm on the field. It was pretty bad during the Dolphins game and the general malaise the players exhibit reminds me of the final seasons under LeBeau. 2000 game vs. Pittsburgh was as bad as I had ever seen in terms of effort and the game vs. Miami and most of the first half today reminded me of that.

I can take losses (I support Duke football). What I can't take is lack of effort or desire and given the money i've forked down over the years for tickets, gear, and sunday ticket I've regretted my investment for long enough. I know it sounds dramatic but sundays aren't improved in any way watching the Bengals, watching makes it worse.

Miami game pissed me off more than anything. I expected 9 wins this year I'm gonna be wrong it looks like.
They will get a year better and a year healthier and be game for next year. Not sure if Marvin goes or not I bet Shula will.
Need a tackle or guard with 1st pick again and then work on the lb's and secondary.

I told you the bengals were not going to easily make the playoffs.

Yea I figured 9 would get them in. I expected a split with the steelers and a sweep of browns and the miami win. Those didn't pan out so I'm not sure if we get 6 wins now.

After their early success I looked at their schedule and it looked tough....then you lost to Cleveland and it's been rough. There is still hope but things must mesh greatly the rest of the way.

Making the playoffs easily was not a great prediction.

No....but it's tough to say after 4 weeks and a tough schedule that they'll make it easily.

I do hope you guys beat the hell out of the Giants next week.

I see some winnable games but it's getting out of reach for us. I can point to 1 or 2 things per loss that was bad coaching or bad luck and things would be different. If they play a complete game I think they can beat Pitt or NYG.
They played ok today but a 2nd half kick off return out of the gate, and a missed fg and some more stupid penalties cost them.

Im a huge Bengals fan. We overachieved last year because of an eay scheadule. This year were playing a good scheadule. The team has some really good parts in place and actually have some good play from the rookies. If the OLine was banged up early they would be doing better then they are. We also still havent seen a healthy Dre Killpatrick.

They need to get another linemen in the first round next year. Then go out in free agency and sign a safety and linebacker.

Truthfully I didn't expect the Bengals to be a playoff team. I expected 7-9 wins. Which is still possible, unlikely but possible. It just seems like there isn't any urgency out there. They have one solid offensive drive a game and the defense has some piss and vinegar for a half a quarter. Otherwise they kind of sleepwalk.

I don't know if they can beat Oakland, but I would like to think there is one maybe two wins left on the schedule.

also, in regards to free agency, that is a joke in Cincinnati. They pick up players who are out of options (PacMan, Clements, Newman, Howard, etc.) It will have to be the draft or nothing. They could hit on a couple FA's but no player willingly if given a choice will sign with Cincinnati over another club (i.e. Dontae Whitner)

Yeah the Miami game was the worst. I personally wouldn't lose a minute of sleep if Marvin left. Since his time there they've changed the players at just about every position and even the coordinators, but the results are the same. I saw a stat on Twitter that said his career record with the Bengals now is like nine games under .500.

I do find it ironic that when i converse with Clevelanders they talk of the best days in Cleveland sports and they reference the Indians of the late 90's. I would tend to think most of the reason the seats were full and attention was focused on the tribe was due to the fact they didn't have a pro football team for a few of those years.
