.....and so it has begun.

The Indians have made the first moves of the off season, picking up the $5.7 million option on Ubaldo Jimenez, and declining the options of Hafner and Roberto Hernandez....the pitcher formerly known as Fausto Carmona. While Antonetti didn't rule out either returning at a lower contract, it seems nearly impossible that Pronk will be coming back under any circumstances. (collective sigh of relief).:rolleyes:

Please just use the money on a guy who didn't regress after roiding, and a guy who isn't a mentally weak pussy and implodes after allowing one guy on base with 2 outs.

We picked up the option of Ubaldo which is necessary for our championship run.

This team will never do anything with the Dolans owning things and retards running things. Shapiro and Antonetti are the laughing stock of the mlb...and they can go fuck themselves...although, they would probably find a way of screwing that up.

^^^^It's a new year, and I'm going to give them a chance before I start raggin' on them for next year. If history repeats itself, there will be plenty of time for that later. As far as Ubaldo goes...I can't see why they would not pick up his option. Yeah, trading for him was shit... but you might as well let it play out at this point.. He wasn't the worst pitcher that we put out there...until we got something better, might as well keep him.

Yeah, I think most of Ubaldo's problems are between the ears . That, and he can't repeat his delivery. If he would ever get his mechanics in order and his head together, he may be a descent pitcher. But, I won't hold my breath. I still think it was a terrible trade.

When I saw that the Angels were looking to deal Haren, the first thing I thought was that he'd do wonders for the Pirates starting rotation.
