We have truly become a wuzzified society.....I heard various announcements over the radio this morning that several communities were moving treat-or-treating to "inside" facilities and/or moving the day/holiday altogether due to the not so great weather for trick-or-treating tonight. What??????

Up here in along the lakeshore, roads are still closed, power is still out and schools are still closed. It seems kind of silly to let the kdis run around begin for candy when they can't even get to school.

They are having trick or treat in our town tonight but they postponed it in a neighboring town until Saturday or Sunday. So we will be getting kids from another town likely taking the candy earmarked for the local kids.

I actually don't blame them for this. A lot of them cancelled/rescheduled it earlier in the week before they knew how bad the weather would or wouldn't be. There was a hurricane coming and no one really knew how it would affect us here in Ohio until it got here.

I tailgated in the Muni Lot on Sunday with a tent and beer and I was still miserable. I wouldn't want to walk around outside in that same stuff while sober and with just a little umbrella.

Yea, I don't have a problem with it. It's still pretty nasty here with the wind, rain, and cold temps. I wouldn't take my young child out in this.

I agree. When I was a kid we would have been out in the rain. It's not like the hurricane hit Ohio.
