Lamb will get minutes off the bench. He's a great fit in okc

OKC doesn't "need" Lamb to get huge minutes, that's the benefit.

I agree with this. When lamb was at uconn he was very good when he didn't have to be the main guy. At okc he would be 3-4 scoring option. I think he will thrive in okc

Curious move by OKC. Even if no deal was going to come with Harden, why not keep him for another run at the title? Martin is good, but is no Harden. I liked Lamb coming out and if he turns out to be as good as I think he will be, this trade might not be all bad.

Plus they got two first rounders. Will probably be mid to late first rounders, but you can always turn those into something else

I don't think harden would have played as well this year with all the hoopla about his contract. He doesn't seem like he is mentally strong as he needs to be

Top 15? Youre crazy!! And the people who like him more than westbrook are morons.

Not many minutes to go around with Martin, Durant and Thabo on the wings. They also have PJ3, nice to be able to bring Lamb along slowly and not have to depend on his contribution.

It's just impossible for middle class me to fathom it. The max deal will get him around $800,000 more bring home per year which is huge.....$13 million a year on one of the elite teams that have a championship shot versus $15 million on a mediocre team with no chance to win it all.....

I get it...he wants a little nicer... home (s), cars and bling opposed to a possible championship.

The extra 8 million over 4 years will never even blip on his radar....him being out of the limelight and NBA talk likely will.

You can't fathom why an extra 800k a year isn't more attractive?

I get that....as much as I can on my salary that is 1/16th of that before taxes.....but do you get what I'm saying? $13 million a year on an ELITE team versus $15 on a mediocre team? If he's an idiot he's going to blow the 52 million and the 60.....if he's got half a clue his next two or three generations will have everything they'll ever need. If he's just playing for himself and his needs I'm saying the being on the Thunder and that limelight is going to be worth way more than his gains by making $800,000 more a year on the Rockets.

They had a really good draft, they should have kept Kyle Lowry instead of getting Lin imo.

yeah they did, but they traded Lamb and are having problems with ISU anxiety boy.

Got rid of Scola, Lee,Lowry, and Martin.

I dont think they will be any better this season.

its hard to tell how good he is. he was the 3rd wheel on his own team. i do know he choked in the finals.

we will see how good he is when its "his" team. regardless, he isnt a max contract player. think joe johnson.

1. Now was probably the only time they'd get 100 cents on the dollar, because he was for sure getting a max offer after this year from someone
2. The Toronto pick will probably be a lottery pick

By the way Jordo, your logic is spectacularly awful. "Yeah, let's play 1 year with this guy before we lose him for nothing; as opposed to getting a player with top 25 scoring ability and a rookie with a HIGH ceiling AND 2 first rounders"

You simply don't pass up the offer the Rockets put on the table

Lost all credibility with this one--also I disagree with about 4 of those others on your list. I can't name 25 players better than Harden, but you apparently can name 2 players that aren't the best player on their team (Ginobili over Duncan/Parker)

Ginobili is not better than Duncan or Parker when compared to other players at their positions. Sure, in a game of one-on-one I'd take Manu. But you have to keep things in the context of their peers. If Ginobili is the 10th best SG and Parker is the 6th best PG, than in my mind, Parker is better.

If your team can win a championship in that one season, I don't think you get rid of people on your team. Just my opinion.

I don't think this trade makes them better RIGHT NOW. But in a few years they may get the better of this deal.

P.s. I thought OKC controlled him this year and next?
