..gimme some books that will blow my mind. I'm pretty open-minded and like all kinds of different stuff. So what are the ones that everyone should read before they die.

A riveting tale of two pre-pubescent teens set in early 50's America, their forbidden love and supression. A prequel to the epic story of Jack and Jill meet Dick and Jane and the perplexing yet rivetting inclusion of Spot.

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Her writing style can be a little long winded she can get repetitive with some themes, but the plot and her philosophy is what makes the book so great.

"Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" by Hunter S. Thompson.

If you liked the movie you will love the book, as it is even better.

Depends on if you have an open mind.

Some of the best books I've ever read have some political base to them.

Some of my favorites include:

John Stossel: Give Me a Break
Glenn Beck: An Inconvenient Book
Glenn Beck: Arguing with Idiots
Invisible Man
Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal

Thanks for all the input. It's nice to see some different titles here. Most of the lists i've looked up on the internet have the same old stuff. I can't stand actually listening to Beck, yet i know a lot of people suggest his books. I'll probably have to give one of them a shot.

Oh, I didn't take it that way, anyway. Yep, to each his own. If all Americans agreed on the same principles, we (as a nation) wouldn't be in the mess we are in right now. :)

His books are better b/c you don't have to hear his voice and see his face, lol. Beware, however... he digresses (A.D.D. moments) in his books, more than on his shows!
