Here's a fun one. I was in Vegas for a marketing conference. I was going to be there for almost a week, so a coworker of mine and I ran into a little shop off the strip looking for a post card to send to my wife. As I'm browsing, I notice someone browsing the "get well" cards. When I look closer, I figure out it's Dennis Haysbert. I turn to my friend and say, "You're in good hands." Well it was apparently loud enough for him to hear, because without missing a beat, he goes, "Always."
Got to shake his hand. He was in town for some R & R. Nice guy.

We had family friends, think the dad was the AD at Macomber back in the day, or at the very least was the FB coach. I had met JJ his frosh year and this guy told me to get his autograph, so I did. Then I lost it/threw it away.....it was a freshman! Met him 1-2 times after that during his HS career after that. Met Mike Golic and bullshitted for a while. Real nice guy. Also met Roger Goodell. After being around athletes in this setting they really don't come off as celebrities to me any more.

Dennis Haysbert was a boss in Heat. The best action movie in history. And the reason why robbing a Huntington's is on my bucket list. Granted, it would end with a hollow point in my forehead.

One of my favorites is actually Ronin. I haven't seen Heat in a long time, though. LOL....Yeah, the french guy is Jean Reno. I've seen him in a number of movies, and he's typically excellent. I've seen him in several films as well, and I agree that even though I didn't know his name, Reno is a fine actor. He always seems to play a genuinely believable character. I've seen/met a lot of famous people over the years....most just want to go on with their lives unfettered by the attention celebrity gives them. I've never asked anyone for so much as an autograph.
....er...I take that back. In my younger days I was a pretty good bowler and when the pro's came into town for the Firestone Tournament of Champions we practically lived at Riviera Lanes. During a practice round, I was carrying my young son thru some heavy traffic when we came face to face with Mike Aulby, one of the top tour pro's at the time. My son yelled out "Dad! that's Mike Aulby!" Aulby came over and talked with us for a few minutes, and gave me an autographed bowling pin for my son at the Pro-Am the next day.
