Duke has a pretty nice team this year though. But yeah its amazing they are in first.
FSU needs to get there heads out of their asses though. I will be more disappointed if they lose this game then when they lost to NCST.

They lost to Arkansas, who was in the top 10 all year, 29-16.Mulva;1300253 wrote:That was a much easier argument to make before they got stomped in the cotton bowl.
They still should have been in over Michigan and VT.
Anyways, this is impressive what they are doing.

No they don't. Look at the results against the only 2 decent teams they played (Va Tech and Stanford). Outscored by 58. FIU is 1-7, Memphis is 1-5, NC Central is 1-AA, and Wake and UVA are 2-7 in the ACC (and 1 of the 2 is Wake beating UVA).Iliketurtles;1300274 wrote:Duke has a pretty nice team this year though. Also, good quote here from Dana Holgorsen on cornerbacks coach Daron Roberts: "he's the overachiever of all overachievers". Good call, coach.

I'm actually not buying this bama is better than everyone else. If you can stop bamas run and force them into 3 rd and long they seem to struggle a bit. But if bama has there running game going they play off it very very well

I think it's Alabama 1a and Oregon 1b.Crimson streak;1300293 wrote:I'm actually not buying this bama is better than everyone else. If you can stop bamas run and force them into 3 rd and long they seem to struggle a bit. But if bama has there running game going they play off it very very well
Then a close third is Florida, then close behind them KState.

I agree. I do think unlike previous Bama teams, they have the offense capable of running with a team who isn't great on D. I think the sentiment about them being so great is people expect by the end of the year, their defense will be absolutely dominating.
Tennessee is average, but the Vols have an above average offense and Bama is holding tough. Arkansas is average as well, but Bama shut them out and the Hogs are scoring over 30 PPG...

Arkansas was with out Wilson lets get real here. If you take care of the ball and stop bamas run there very beatable. But you gotta have the horses up front to do it.

Bama is up 30-10 right now, and won previous games by 27, 35, 52, 33, 19, and 32. Sorry, nobody else is close. Unless Bama plays a bad game nobody is beating them.
WVU shouldn't be ranked again this season.

WVU gets TCU next weekend, who scored 53 today.
WVU gets OSU in 2 weeks, who has a very good offense.
WVU gets OU in 3 weeks, who has one of the top 10 offenses in the country.
They seriously may set a record for worst defensive season in conference history...

Louisiana Tech still passing. Up 70-21, middle of the 3rd.
They are nearing 800 yards. Might we see a grand in a game?

Coincidence that La Tech is so much better since Derek Dooley left, and Tennessee is so much worse since he arrived?

Robb Akey just had Idaho in a bowl 2 years ago (and beat BG), and now their team is hideous and may give up 100 tonight. He's going to be out of a job at the end of this year.Azubuike24;1300300 wrote:Louisiana Tech still passing. Up 70-21, middle of the 3rd.

The referree just announced a timeout..."Timeout, University of Utah."
The LT players were laughing at it on the sideline. Idaho just went for it on 4th and 1 in their own territory. Stuffed. LT ball back. Sonny Dykes, when asked if he would let up? He said "no, this is how we play. We'll score until they stop us."

Bama is now up 37-10.
Iowa down 24-0 at half. About time to give Kirk Ferentz another raise. You can't expect much more in a night game at home when he's only a top 5 paid coach in the country.

Alabama is laying the wood on the Vols now. Mississippi State doing the same to MTSU. Should be a very good game next weekend.
