ESPN ultimately runs 97.1. The Dispatch group owns it, but without the ESPN syndication, there is no 97.1.

I'd say OSU has the most say, seeing as how 97.1 has exclusive rights, which include coaches shows written into the coaches contracts'

The Torg will end up better off than he was before this incident. He's never been more popular than he is now. He's never had more support for being an average-at-best radio personality.

I agree.

I dont think that he should have been fired but it still isnt going to stop me from listening. Torg was alright but Common Man carried that show

Common Man is obviously more polished and is probably the better of the two, but together they had something special. They had great chemistry and Torg provided the comic relief

Torg tried too hard to be funny. Everything flows with CM. It really doesn't matter who they pair CM up with, it will be entertaining. Like I said before, it's best with CM and Beau Bishop.

This. What made their show so great was the two of them together. As Torg said that other day, whether it's just him or they get him a co-host, it will be a different show, and maybe it will be better than it was with the Torg, but it will take a while to get to that point.

I agree that Bishop would be a bad choice to pair with him. If the show is the second highest rated in the country they would be better off going out and bringing in someone more established than promoting someone like T-Bone or bringing in someone with little radio experiences (like they did with Rothman and Bishop).

I live a couple of hours from Columbus and I am not familiar with this "Torg" you speak of, but I just have one question? Did Herbie bang all of your wives, girlfriends and daughters to have such hatred for an Ohio State former player, and a very, very well respected analyst/announcer?

BTW... I just signed up on my phone at 97.1 so I can tune in occasionally.... not much time to listen to the radio.

Herbie, Doug Flutie and Ringo Star are the three luckiest human beings in history, making the most out the least bit of god given talent. But they all took adavntage of that luck and made a name, you gotta give 'em credit for doing so.
