Depends on how how you want it. For mild, go for half butter and half Frank's (say, 1/4 cup melted butter, 1/4 cup Frank's). If you want it hotter, tilt the scales toward the Frank's. Maybe add some crushed red pepper flakes or cayenne for extra heat, but not necessary.

Fuck I want roosters so bad now. Nothing here on the island with good wings. We have a Bdubs, but it's in Waikiki and their wings are tiny.

I want roosters or wingstop in the south!

I need to find my father-in-law's recipe. Never had any better wing flavor than those.

I'm a ranch guy. I like all kinds of wings, but prefer tasty sauce over heat. I occasionally go for bleu cheese, but that doesn't happen too often -- and mostly when ranch may not be available.

Ranch all the way. Inlove me some ranch on just about anything.
Ranch is also the duct tape of the food world, if Ranch can't fix it then it can't be fixed

if it is a real blue cheese then i would go with blue cheese but most places have really cheap terrible tasting bcheese so i usually go with ranch. i used to like really hot wings but as ive gotten older i def cant handle it anymore.

Mild and medium are the way to go. The heat doesn't bother me, but I think moat wing sauces labeled "hot" taste like spiced ass

i tend to agree i want to be able to taste the complexity of the sauce not just get blown away by the heat and start sweating....i really have been getting into "dry rub" lately tho

First preference is no dipping. If the wing sauce isn't good, the ranch/BC helps with giving it some flavor. I prefer ranch is it's a thinner, lighter flavor. BC just simply dominates. You might as well get a spoon out and just eat blue cheese dressing straight out of the tub.

As for wings, you have to try the triple atomic at QS&L. Get them every time I'm there. Always enjoy food that fights back. Trick to eating them is to not drink anything until you're finished.
